About
The Club at Crazy Horse Ranch (previously known as Salinas Golf & Country Club) in Monterey boasts a reputation as "the friendliest club in the area." Opened in 1925, it's also known as one of the area's oldest clubs though they are loathe to label themselves as "traditional". The golf course sprawls across rolling countryside dotted with mature trees and the occasional water hazard. Originally opened as a nine-hole layout, the golf course may appear somewhat short at just over 6,200 yards from the back tees but don't underestimate its level of difficulty. It's a tight layout that demands accuracy, especially when navigating the small greens. There is plenty of variety at The Club at Crazy Horse Ranch, you may even find yourself using all the clubs in your bag. The golf course finishes with a stunning view of Salinas Valley from an elevated tee. The fairway slopes downhill to a well protected green guarded on the left with trees and on the right with bunkers.

Fun course and great people
I would recommend everyone try this course. It has a nice range, good restaurant, and friendly staff . The greens are in really good shape (fast though). They have been doing a good job in keeping this course up. Even though it’ was busy, the pace of play was still good.
Excellent time on a beautiful course.
Great time! Wonderful layout in excellent condition. Only suggestion is get more yardage markers in place…otherwise fantastic!
Great course
This course was in excellent condition - late September. Staff are pretty friendly. If you’re not a member you will definitely be reminded of such. The members definitely don’t like to share the course with the public.
FUN TRACK
THE DAY WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT IF THE RESTAURANT WAS OPEN PAST 4:40 PM ON A WED.
REALLY FUN COURSE TO PLAY DUE TO HILLY LIES AND VARIED TERRAIN.
