Poor conditions o. The greens
Course should advise players that greens are under repair. The course is in need of Marshall's. Price for the conditions is over rated.
Getting better
Still running into people (5 some today) that think they own the course...it is public people no one has anymore right to play there then anyone else. New owner needs to clear that up fast or this place will be gone..IT IS A PUBLIC COURSE PERIOD or it is not...MAKE UP YOUR MIND, NO SUCH THING AS SEMI PRIVATE anymore....greens are starting to come around and fairways are nice with over seed in many areas, tee box's are coming back from over seed nicely also.... from are experience today there were 5 guys that needed a 5 iron upside the head...
Course needs a marshal.
Fairways are in great condition. Half the greens were decent, other half were in pretty poor shape, balds spots all over them. The worst part of this round was the threesome in front of us that played so slow. They were more concerned with getting drunk than their pace of play. Nothing like watching a guy slam a beer, take 15 practice swings, then shank it off 25 yards, over and over again. Or screaming at the top of his lungs on the next tee box while you're trying to make a putt! They played so slow they couldn't even keep up with the multiple 5-some's that were out in front of them! Which is a whole different downside of this course! This place needs a marshal, and to stop allowing 5-somes and 6-somes out on the course, that's for sure!
Horrible experience.
Was hoping to have a decent round today, nope. I'll start off by saying I knew the greens were under maintenance, but they actually weren't that bad fairways were in excellent shape and bunkers were good too other than a few of them having no take to rake the sand after shots.
Since this course has went public, its had a horrible pace of play. There is no Marshall to maintain a decent pace and today was the worst. We were a twosome with a three some in front of us and then THREE, three groups of five in front of them! The threesome in front of us were so slow, they couldn't even keep up with the three groups of five in front of them. By hole 8, there was no one in front of the three some for at least a hole.
This course always books groups of 5 and even 6 with no Marshall to keep pace of play.
I'll probably only play here during the week when it's cheap and doesnt have the population of a small town.
Terrible greens.. Said worm problem.Sandy greens
Worst conditions I have ever seen. Said reduced fees
As of February 18th, mainenance on all 18 greens has been completed and they are looking and playing great! We hope to have you come back again and enjoy a much better experience.
Greens another 2 weeks
Curse is still moving out of the Country Club culture into a public course attitude....greens are starting to come along after some tough summer heat...course should start shinning in October. Need to get more public play and tone down some of the "Your Not the Owners Anymore" old members with chips on their shoulders that you run into there....the new owner is bending over backwards to try and keep old members happy while still trying to bring in the public.......
Great conditions
The course is in great shape after a rough winter. Well maintained fairways and fast greens.
Bang for your buck!
This course was in great shape! Fairways are well kept, isint overly punishing if you’re not on them. Greens are tough if you miss on the high side. They were playing firm and fast the day I played, reminded me of the greens at the Champions club in Corona (closed now). Small greens and required some good shots to get it close. Bump and run chip shots are your way to go to get it close if you miss the green with how firm the greens were. Good little course and I will be going back soon! If I had better feel for my putting today I would have broken 80 for sure.
Use to play off 7 Hcp, getting back in the swing of things. Probably closer to a 10 now.
Great course to play
Played in some major heat, 99 plus. Great tee boxes, every tee has a ball wash, I like to keep my balls clean. The fairways were green and fast, very few brown spots. Greens are in great shape, a little firm but that is to be expected with the temps. Greens are protected well by bunkers on several holes, great challenge to get yardage right and drop in on the green. Payed $25 for 2:06 tee time. Great value. I feel that is par with the nice courses around the IE offering $25-30 midday price. Water features are great and challenging.
Nice course
Nice course with the exception of the ruff being extremely high in some areas. Other wise it was set up good and when greens firmed up half way through the round. They were running fast.
Great course!!!
Greens were great and not knowing them too well I was able to steal a couple birdies. Total throwback to a 70s style but with an up to date twist. Amazing for the money!
Super Nice Course!
Greens and Fairways are really nice shape.
And the staff are very friendly.
best kept secret
Great everyday public course, alot better value than anywhere else for the money. paid 40 bucks to play weekday mid morning. normally i dont expect much for 25 to 50 bucks. the greens here are by far better than anywhere else. they roll very smooth and true and are quicker than anywhere else right now in the heat of the summer. the fairways are excellent. the rough however is very thick and penal but luckily the fairways are very large to accomade the average golfer. it was not very busy as the temperatures were in the triple digits and the workers were the only ones on the course. the tenth tee staff was very welcoming with fresh water as well as the grass maintenance workers on the course were cheerful and welcoming
Super nice!
The fairways and greens were excellent!
This course will be one of my home course and the staff were very friendly.
Please keep this shape for all year.Thank you.
Formerly Private - Now Public
I have known about this course for many years but because it was private I never had the opportunity to play it. The course just went public and am I glad it did. It is right off the 210 Freeway and is a great Inland Empire option. The tee boxes were in good condition, the fairways and greens were excellent. Carts are very nice, even had an ice chest but no GPS. Very happy with the staff. 2 things could have made my round better (1) they don’t sell cigars (2) no drink cart and the 10th hole mini club house was open but no one was working to sell beverages.
Nice Surprise
This was my first time at Arrowhead and I was very impressed. The course was in excellent condition, fairways and greens where in beautiful shape, the pace of play was perfect completed our round in just under four hours, staff was friendly and professional. This course was a bargain at $45 can’t wait to play here again.
It's back
Last spring the course was undergoing a re greening of the fairways and although the course was open the playing conditions were very poor. Now, 10 weeks later the course is in great condition from border to border. Fully green throughout.
Really nice course
First time playing ACC and very impressed and happy with the course, conditions and pace of play. This is an old school layout and scene - but very challenging for me as a 19 index golfer. Very nice turf conditions and well kept. Greens were complex and relatively fast for this area =The older mature trees were a problem if you hit into them but super beautiful otherwise as were the views. will definitely return
very good condition
tree came into play on this course. Greens were undulated are fast. Everything played long, but fair
you may not ever have a completely decent round until the course cuts off the old members and makes the course totally PUBLIC.
