Lorén Murillo 1/22/25 Round Review
I love this course and playing during the twilight hours. I would highly recommend and always enjoy playing with friends and family.
Go for the Greens
Everything about this course is rough: muddy cart paths, chewed up tee boxes, sparse fairways (on the non-par 3 holes) BUT the design of the greens is worth putting up with it all!
Don’t miss it above the hole! You’ll have almost zero chance to save par! And if you hit the wrong part of the green, you may be putting with your back to the hole!! And good luck reading the not-so-obvious breaks!
Definitely not for everyone but if you’te adventurous and want to test your short game check it out!!
You'll probably lose a ball or two
Tight and slope-y is how remembered. Four par 4s, but almost no one hits driver. Lots of elevation variation. Most greens slope toward the creek even when it doesn't look like it. Greens in good shape. Odd mix of mud and hard packed fairways.
It was still a nice day.
Nice putting green
Tecolote Executive
Course was ok for Golfpass discounted price, but too many novice/yahoos made for a ridiculous 3.5 hour round on a par 58 course. Possibly due to holiday crowds...but would only go back mid-morning/mid-week if ever again.
Nice greens
Nice greens. Tee boxes could use some work and fairways are not great, but shouldn’t be in the fairways much on this course anyway (executive course). The greens are in great shape and fast!
Toughest executive course around...
This is a tough little executive golf course. The small fast greens have slopes that make every putt a challenge. There's trouble right and left on almost every hole.
I recommend Tecolote Canyon for a fun, challenging, and inexpensive round of golf.
Beat up and unforgiving
I’d only come back to play here if I had no other options. Poorly maintained. People are driving everywhere with carts and interrupting your hole-play. Very narrow and lots of brush up to the fairways. Bring extra balls. Greens are decent.
Good executive course, challenging
Challenging because it's narrow with canyon and creek on the sides. Fun because if you hit straight you can easily make par
