Bad
Do not recommend playing here. Course no where near ready yet. Needs 2 more years at least. And even then, the greens are just silly. Like playing mini golf. Only thing missing is the windmill !!
Play Copper Canyon instead !!
Courst is still being developed and is still great
The course is sill being built and it was still great fun to play it. You can see how the course will change over the coming months. Everyone was friendly and seemed to want to help. Place of play was great! I recommend that you play it soon before it goes private. I think it will be fun to play as it evolves into a final product!
Perfectly maintained
Fairways were like playing on a carpet. Bunkers were good quality sand and in perfect condition. Even though greens were recently aerated they were smooth and tru.
Great course
Course is in pretty good shape. They are punching the greens tomorrow not sure if that made the greens roll a little slower than expected. Great layout. Will definitely be back
New track.
The restaurant and bathrooms on the course aren’t completed. My gps wasn’t available because the course isn’t in the garmin data set. They have a no smoking policy and the usga ghin site doesn’t have the course loaded.
Very Difficult
Sterling Grove is a typical Nicklas course designed to play by good to very good players. Lower the handicap the better.
Great Course
I was very pleased. The course is setup well no matter what your handicap is. The greens are very challenging, which I liked. I will be going out there again.
Course is nice for just opening. The greens are everything they have said they are! The MOST undulated I have ever played on! All are very fast but a very fun course! Hurry before it closes to the public
Sterling grove
Course was in great shape. Staff was amazing as always.
Hernandez Review
Great course, great price in the summer! Over priced the rest of the year!
Firm
This course is in good shape considering the time of year and it's age. Most of the course was very firm but there are some wet muddy spots around the greens due to the collection areas. Nothing out of the ordinary for the time of year. Greens have massive movement and really punish you if you find the wrong side. I thought the layout was OK, a little uninspiring from a compete from scratch design. Very little elevation change. There are a few tricky drives but for the most part this is a second shot golf course.
Best course in west valley
Very good condition interesting design, very playable, large greens with plenty of undulations
SG
Wow what a treat to play Sterling Grove after looking at some homes back in March I was dying to get back and play it and it didn’t disappoint me one bit it’s a cool layout but greens are still young but playable, I can’t wait to play it again.
Ice Like Greens
We played on a hot day! Super fun course !! Greens were off the charts fast!! But super fun!! Definitely want to play it again !
Average at Best
Played this course for the first time on Father's Day. The practice facility was decent. The course itself is very firm...especially the greens. I suspect that's what you get with a new course. However, some, not all of the greens had very gimmicky surfaces. Some needed windmills, some needed the swinging donkey tail. Bunkers were good and had plenty of firm sand. Overall the course is nothing special. Very typical layout. If you're coming from the east side of town, I would not recommend the hour+ trip to get there. Cheers.
