San Juan Hills Golf Club
About
Tucked away in the hills of San Juan Capistrano, San Juan Golf Course is situated midway between Los Angeles and San Diego. Its location is conveniently close to Legoland, Disneyland, the San Diego Zoo, and miles of sandy beaches. The championship golf course underwent a major renovation of its fairways and greens, making them some of the best in south Orange County. The layout consists of a diverse array of holes that range in length from short to long and some are hilly while others are flatter. Being a public golf course and having a versatile layout, San Juan G.C. is a popular place for tournaments and events. At either end of the course there are practice facilities as well. On the west side you'll find a putting green and sand bunker as well as a chipping area, and on the other end you'll find a grass driving range.

I like this course
Enjoyed my round of golf, friendly staff and fun place to play. I try to play here when I'm in SoCal
Quality course...
Played in 3:45 mins. course still recovering from aeration.
Nice course at a reasonable rate.
Nice course mixed with some challenging holes. The green fee was reasonable..club rental was more expensive than the green fee.
Great Value
MY wife and I played here for the first time. We had heard good things about the course from friends and decided to take a look. We were not disappointed. The layout, while not terribly long, was a nice challenge, made tougher by afternoon winds kicking up. Next time around it will be better knowing where to hit the ball. The greens were very soft and there were footprints all over them, making it hard to make putts. The rest of the course was in good shape for a Muni in So Cal. We will return over and over again.
Good course to try!
A good course to try although you better be careful of the speed of the greens! Smooth greens but firm and 13 speed!
Great Fairways and Greens....
We played until it got dark and the fairways, greens etc were very nice. Always fun and challenging to play here.
Nice course
I liked this course a lot. Not too difficult, but there are a lot of uphill shots. I would play this course again.
Great views.
Greens are very fast. Most fairways in good shape.
Course Layout
The course is challenging. The Greens are in good shape and play true. Must hit the ball straight or you can get into trouble on many different holes. Greens are big enough so it places a premium on your chipping ability.
Very slow
Everything was great except the group in front of us was so slow it took us five and a half hours to play no Marshall to help bummer
Course review
Great course and excellent value. Play was a little slow. Restaurant after was excellent. Definitely recommend this course.
Very good condition
Golf course keeps improving. I have played this course for years and enjoy it more each year. Great for any level golfer.
Fun course
Greens where in good shape but some of the fairways need some HELP, dead spots. Bunkers need better and more sand. But overall great little course at the right price!
good times
Ita normally good. But past 3 visit. Takes more then almost 6hrs. They need stop 5somes. And space it out a bit. It's starting to get a bit crazy. I drive from westminster least twice a month. Hope I keep doing SO. Sjh is a very fun course.
Great price
The course was as expected, very good. The greens were punched a couple of weeks ago and they were still very bumpy so we made them two puts automatic. I like this course. It seems like it's always the best weather and the staff is super friendly.
San Juan Hills
Overall great value, good shape even though punched recently. Fairways fair, and sand traps in good shape.
It's not a 4 star
Compared to talega it is a 3 star at best. Greens were good. Fairways were chunky. Played from back tees found par fours were very similar to each other. Felt like I played the same hole over and over again. I would pay 40$ for a weekend round and feel good about it.
Great Value
Greens was still punched maybe another 3 weeks to be in good condition. They should had mentioned it at the site. The person at the front mentioned that we were at 4 th up but nobody was at the first tee.? Over all, great value and a good golf course, short in the yardage from the tips (for those long hitters).
Let'et rip!
Best golfing in South County, from start to finish!
Great Time
Great greens and open fairways. Can't wait to play when the greens are punched
