What Happened to the Greens?
I can’t recommend this course. It used to be in better shape and was affordable. They have raised there green fees and have lost 80% of the green surfaces. Putting through mud and fungus. Sad ☹️
I have played this course many times over the years, I've never had any complaints, and in the last year or so it seems it's getting even better. Greens and fairways are always in good shape, and unlike most courses in the Savannah area where you may experience a 5 hour round, pace of play at the Rincon course has always been pretty good. I love playing here.
Never Again
Greens were not in good shape. Started raining before completing front nine. Stopped at pro shop to ask about raincheck policy and the Manager was very rude. Will never play here again and will tell all my golf friends. New Management customer skills sucks!
Some Poor Greens and Traps
It has been a year since we last played this course. It is a course we have enjoyed and find challenging, but now the front nine has several holes with damaged greens, and traps that need sand. We were surprised by the poor playing conditions when compared to last year.
While the staff is attentive and managed pace of play very well, by suggesting to a group ahead of us to let us play through, the course conditions were disappointing, particularly on the first 6 holes. We do not plan to play here again until the course condition improves.
Decent course
Fairways were good. Greens were terrible.
For the price it was a good deal.
Slow play.
Rincon GC Greens
80% of greens are good. Some didn't have grass completely. Fairway's great shape.
5 to 6 greens were in need of repair. (bare spots). Fairways were in good shape. Tee boxes were big and in good shape also.
Fun track
Great value, fun place to play. Very interesting layout. Lots of challenging shots. Greensbare coming back but still way too many bare spots...needs sod or seed. That said they putted reasonably well. My guest said it was one of the most fun courses he'd ever played.
The course is super tight throughout. The fairways and woods coincide leaving you little to no “rough”. Also the greens were in rough shape for our round.
Staff is great and the price is reasonable, but there are better courses in the area.
