Lost Plantation Golf Club

This course is coming back slowly and I mean slowly. It’s come a long ways. Greens still need some love and the tee boxes as well. A few holes the bunkers are gonna be slap full of water if it rained anytime that week.

Sometimes the staff doesn’t have a personality. Kind of grumpy and seem rushed at times.

If you go on the wrong days when the senior league is out there playing you might end having to wait and the pace of play might be a lot slower.

With the right motivation and crew this course could be great.

Other than a few green needing some TLC and a group that was in front of us being slow it’s a really good course and is fun staff was extremely nice. Some of the spots on the course are pretty wet but thats not a huge deal

This is an old muni and does itself proud with a terrific fun layout, plenty of demanding shots, and greens that while imperfect, are puttable and fun.

1. New superintendent (I believe) since the course recently fell under ownership of the city. 2. They closed the restaurant. 3. They no longer have a bev cart. 4. It’s too expensive during weekend hours for the conditions at hand. 5. Tuesdays are a fantastic deal. 6. Course is fun and challenging.

The greens are really starting to make a comeback, so do not let hole 1 deter you from the remaining 17 holes. Hole 1 is nearly completely shaded all day, so they struggle with the growing of this green specifically. The rest are starting to roll really well.

Course holds water, greens need work, fairways beautiful, bunkers were ponds

Fairways in great shape, most greens are better than average for a public course. Bunkers are another story ... essentially just a bare spot - minimal sand.

But with a senior rate of $30 with cart it's hard to beat.

Course was beautiful. No complaints. Best bang for your Buck in this area.

Great value for your buck. A lot of greens in rough shape but still very playable.

nice course two bad greens hopefully will improve soon.

Friendly Staff.

The course continues to be the best value in the Savannah/Hilton Head area. While a couple greens were a bit brown. Putting was not compromised. The course's condition has continued to improve over tha past couple years.
