Tahoe Paradise Golf Course
About
Situated within the woodlands of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Tahoe Paradise Golf Course has a hilly landscape covered with towering pines. This short, tight golf course is filled with challenges including tight, narrow fairways and smooth, fast greens. The fairways are also lined with trees and thick cuts of rough and some of there is an occasional sloped green. Tahoe Paradise Golf Course's par-4 holes are said to have severe dogleg fairways and water hazards come into play on two holes. The picturesque scenery provides a relaxing break from the challenges of the golf course. One of the most scenic holes is the par-3 14th with a spectacular view of Mt. Tallac and the surrounding peaks.

Rock-hard tee boxes. Sparks flew!
I do actually like this course. But that's despite all the following:
1. Front 9 closed for the season. Play back-9 twice for 18. Course didn't disclose this on GolfNow, so there was no reasonable way to know this at time of booking.
2. Tee boxes on 5/14 and 9/18 are so hard, one cannot hammer a tee into the ground. Sparks fly as one's driver brushes the surface.
3. Cart paths need serious help -- mostly dirt, rutted, and bumpy.
4. Greens were quite variable -- some super-slow. Some reasonably fast.
Though I was really looking forward to playing a couple holes on the Front Nine, meaning that I was quite disappointed at the surprise of having only the Back Nine available or play, it was still a fun round, on a day that was surprisingly mild.
I do like this course ... mostly because it can't be beaten in the area for the price.
Short But Challenging Course - Walkable
We had fun with this challenging executive par 3/4 course. We walked with our Sunday bags, but with a full set I would have taken a cart. Greens were challenging - I played off the White tees with my husband .. lost a few balls and cussed a little! Would probably not return just because I prefer a full course.
Perfect Day
The course was in great shape and the pins were set up to challenge but not hurt you. You can't start the day better then seeing a bear run across the course right before you tee off.
Great short course
The greens are tough which is the courses defense. Accuracy is a must.
Great Course when Playing with a Beginner
We had a foursome with a 13 handicap and a first time golfer. Perfect course for both and us too. Short narrow fairways and small greens. Beautiful views and welcoming staff.
Fun day
Pace of play was great. We got out early and no one ahead for a long time. The greens were very fast so took some
getting used to. All in all anyone who wants a reasonable price for 18 holes would enjoy their day.
Very happy golfer
This is a great and beautiful course for a round of golf to practice your round of golf, great staff, value and location. Thanks to all who attended to our needs!
Slow play makes round less enjoyable
Had a 3p tee time and the start was timely. Unfortunately that is the only time it was on pace. After 4 hours and only on the 14 hole, we left given there was no way we would finish with the sun beginning to set. Where were the marshalls to keep the pace up? First time not seeing them. Yes there were many foursomes but the speed of play should not have been on a 6+ hour pace.
We will definitely be back because we like the course and the views of the mountains but will get a first tee time if at all possible going forward.
This course is well maintained with scenic views
Enjoyed the course surroundings and layout.
Pace of play was quick and staff was friendly.
great short game features, particularly the par 3's.
FRIENDLY STAFF
We had a lovely afternoon golfing. This course is a par 3/4 course only. It can be tight in some places so need to choose your club carefully. Greens were fun. Lots of breaks.
Not a great selection of food or drinks so don’t think you’ll have lunch before or after unless it’s a hot dog you desire.
Staff were very friendly and very helpful.
Fun course
Too expensive for what you get when you book right at the course. Great deals on Golfnow.
