bad greens
We played the palm valley lakes course the greens were not playable and t boxes were in bad shape. I think that if they would have said the course was in bad shape when we check in we could played some place else. Waist of time and money!!!!!!
You forget to pay the water bill???
I've been playing her for 7 years- this is the worst I've ever seen it. Greens were horrendous .I could putt better in the parking lot. Whole course was extremely dry. Cart girl only came by once in 3 1/2 hrs. Doubt I'll ever come back.
Great course
Great course layout. Greens were in awesome shape, soft and rolling smooth. Tee to green, well worth the rate. Would book it again
Great Tee Box - Lousy Greens
I arrived early someone took my bag from me at Bag drop and loaded it into my cart. When I went to check in they told me the course was wide open and I can tee off any time. The Practice Green was in great shape and I took ten minutes to hit some practice putts to get an Idea of their speed. When I drove to first tee the Tee box was immaculate so I was really looking forward to this. On my second shot into the green I noticed the green looked a little off color, and when I arrived at the green it looked terrible. I am not sure if some over seeding was going on or what but to make any putt over 10 feet would be pure luck since this was the roughest greens I have ever seen. It was very disappointing.
The Home of the 5 hour round!
Always a delay for one reason or another. Always over booked. Course isn't bad, but little or no sand in the traps. Greens are decent but pace of play is super sloooooow. No Palm card for me next year. Happy hour is over at 4?????
Pleasantly surprised by this course layout and condition
First time playing the Palms course and I will be back. I think a little price during the peak season but definitely worth playing for under $40. The greens were consistant with no scarring and the fairways were well maintained. The course is surrounded by houses but they don't come into play which is nice. The bunkers are terrible and hard so don't hit in them! If managment can address the hardpan bunkers, this course will be tough to beat in the west valley.
The Palms Lake Course gets way overbooked
Played the first 3 holes on the Lakes course. It was so overbooked that after waiting at the 3rd hole for at least 10 minutes just for the group in front of us to tee off we just went back to the club house. Seems Fridays at 1pm they have a group of 28 very old people (70-80ish) golf there. They failed to tell us that and it was so backed up that we quit. Our tee time was 1.27 pm and we waited at every hole after the first hole. However, that said they were good enough to let us play the Palms course which is a much better and longer course. So all in all it worked out but it would have been great if they would have been upfront in the first place. Just a note but when we teed off on the 1st hole of the Palms course the marshal stopped and talked to us for a bit. He told us he was just on his way to the Lakes course to talk to the older people who were backing up the course considerably.
The Condition has greatly improved since i played the course 5 yrs ago.
Recommend thru tunnels better directions to the next hole.. A course layout would be nice on the back of the scorecard?
Great pre-pay deal through Golfnow.
Nothing spectacular about the course, but overall a good course for a good price. Elevation change, long par three's, minimal water is an accurate summary of the course as a whole. Playing from the tips at 7000 yards feels longer than that, do yourself a favor and move up a tee box.
Excellent course at a fair price
This course is well laid out with minimal interference from housing. There are numerous tee box selections to fit any skill level. The white tees offer a challenge even at 6200 yds. The inside staff is friendly and helpful. The only negative was that the rental cart was dirty and slow. Bring your brain as this course requires some thought if you want to post a decent score. No cookie cutter holes here. Each one is unique, fun and visually pleasing. Greens were AAA+++. They rolled true but weren't stupid fast. The rest of the course was very well conditioned with equal eye appeal. Overall, a better course than anything within ten miles in any direction.
Great Value
It was great especially for women. The greens could have been a little better. Had a great round. Will come back!
Great golfing experience.
Nicely laid out and very well maintained golf course. Terrific greens fairway, rough and sand traps. Great pace of play and definitely a course I will return to soon.
Great course(Palms) for the money
I always like playing here, it is a great course for the money and not too far from anywhere in Phoenix. Keep in mind I am talking about the Palms course, I have never done the executive course.
Haven't played on the Lakes course in a while....enjoyed it and glad to see they cleaned it up and took out some of the shrubs! And all the new homes
Enjoyed!! People ver nice and it was a beautiful day!!
i luv the course but it is not quite up to speed with the greens
We play here quite often and will get palm card and save more money . I still will use golf now for other courses .
Extremely slow play.
Course in great shape but, management overbooking caused excessive backups. Tee-time at 12:38, finished at 5:45. 3 groups behind us eventually turned around and quit due to the slow play. When i asked the Ranger about the 5-some upfront he shrugged his shoulders and said don't tell anyone! The 5-some in front of us,i found out, included the GM of the Facility! Who do i complain to, the Ranger? Don't go to this course after 12 noon. You'll probably never finish. Restaurant closed at 3pm.
Great course but even better when overseed comes in...
The executive course was great and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The greens were pretty rough because the overseed had not yet come in but was sitting on top still. Give it a few weeks and it will be great!
Okay, no GPS, No Ice Chest, No ball wash on cart.
Played three course over the week, this was the least liked by out of town guest. Not very attractive layout for him. Course was in fine shape and greens good. Could not drive on course because of over seeding so had to do a lot of walking. Understandable but this was the only course we could not drive on when all courses are overseeding.
Challenging but not over the top.
Was looking for somewhere to play nine, wound up getting all 18 in. The course was in great shape. Had a great time!
Nice Florida course
Course was recently over-seeded and rough was 3-4 inches...Not fun. Layout is typical Florida style. Flat with lots of humps and bumps along the sides, except that the last 6 holes have some interesting elevation changes.
