Golfer Reviews
Lost Greens
Cannot promote this course until they resolve the burnt green issues, the maintenance will take sometime to resolve, very disappointing.
Poor green conditions
I’ve played this course many times over the last 25 years through many ownership and management changes. This last time was probably the worst course conditions I’ve experienced in that 25 years. Average greens fees are around $40-$50. I wouldn’t pay $20. Greens were in terribly bad condition almost as if their maintenance staff scorched the greens with a higher concentration of fertilizer and then attempted to soak the greens in hopes of mitigating the damage created. At one point I had to move my ball 2 club lengths from where it landed on the green due to the green being almost unplayable. Landed on one green and my ball submarined 2 inches below the green surface due to the greens being over watered. The topper was management telling us to take our coolers back to our cars and we’d have to purchase beverages through the cart girl or the restaurant on site. Pretty sure you aren’t going to sustain your course based on beverage sales. Plus there are plenty of ways around this so why make a big deal out of it? If you don’t care about course conditions, enjoy. If you do, there are 5 other courses in this area that are much better for the cost of a round of golf.
Seen better days
Course was not its best for sure. Thank god for the awesome staff, otherwise it would have been a complete disaster. Bad spots on the green are avoidable if you know where you’re shooting for . Need more sand in bunkers and if the green has weeds on it that’s an issue. Come on.
Legends
Course is as bad condition as it has ever been. Fairways and greens were burnt out. Bare dirt throughout the course. Looks like they have given up trying to save this course.
Little Beat Up
Not what the course was. Virtually all the greens have been affected by a fungus. Damage to many of the cart paths, trees box signs broken and laying on the ground, several tree boxes beatup and now where near level and no drinking water on the course. Perhaps the course superintendent should ride the course in the mornings with a notepad and catch these things.
A great time at Ledends
Excellent course - lots of fun and friendly staff.
A bit brown due to a "water issue" they had earlier, which is why they had the discounted price. Life is life and I don't fault them for it, the discounted round was enough to make up for some SLIGHT brown spots here and there.
A really nice course overall.
Good local course
Great staff, challenging holes, nice layout and convenient Course could use some water on the fairways. Overall fun course to play.
Poorly maintained
I was shocked how bad the course condition is compared to a few months ago. What happened to this course?
The course The course is in Distress
My friends and I played today,we paid $40
First we haven't played here for over a year,so we decided to try it what a very disappointing round of golf, the fairways were brown and bare, the bunkers were either muddy or just gravel, the greens were atrocious,we talk to the Marshall and he tried to explain that there was a water pipe that broke and the course has not been watered for the last 5 days.
I hope they get the course back to a playable level meanwhile stay away for while allowing them to fix the course.
Nice Course, Needs a Little Love
Nice, challenging layout. My only real complaints are Holes 14 & 18. On 14, you need a map to find what can't even be described as a fairway. You need a map to find the green. If you hit it too far, you will never find your ball. If you hit it too short, you will never find your ball. There is no way the original designers intended 14 to be the way that it currently is. You will need to avoid several large electrical boxes, a huge above ground concrete sewer entrance and multiple trees that have apparently grown up from volunteer seedlings (weeds). 18 could be a great hole that would challenge even Bryson DeChambeau, but there is a large open hole with a cut pipe that has been waiting months for a replacement for the broken sprinkler valve that is lying on its side. You can hit a perfect 230 yard drive off the tee in what should be the middle of the fairway and land plugged in the swamp hole and former bunker that is now a semi-swamp filled with 12" high grass. I know my ball is in there somewhere because I saw it land, but we couldn't find it. There are multiple broken pipes all over the course, so the Physician that owns the course must really enjoy paying his water bill.
