Legends Golf Club

I have not been out here in a while. Greens, as always, lush. Fairways a lot more full than last time I was out. New tee box on 5 to cut the corner. Still major sprinkler repairs making for better and better conditions. Seems like saving the rough and non-course related areas for last. New sand added in over half the traps, I’d say. Had some fun taking photos of the hot air balloons in the distance.

The course is in pretty good condition overall. I would recommend staying out of the bunkers which had little to no sand in them. The kids had fun!!

There are better tracks for the same amount of money.

The first walk up was very nice seeing the hall of all the legends in which the course is dedicated to. I played with my father law who is more than an avid golfer. The gentleman in the pro shop was kind of brash. I can forgive that for a labor day tee time. The tee boxes and general course condition however is not forgivable. We played blues and I would say over half of them were uneven or just sand. If I were playing a hole dedicated to me and I am teeing off from what feels like bunker play I would be extremely disjoined. The overall course has superior potential, it is understood that in Temecula that water can be an issue but some parts of the course feel ill maintained for what is a country club environment.

This was a fun but also challenging course that would be enjoyable for all levels of golfers.

Course was in decent shape. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely play here again if in the area

I am a non local and have been reading course reviews by locals and must say that expectations seem a bit overstated. I played this course in the middle of august and it was agreeably dry and provided some challenges with excessive roll and imperfect lies but that is All a part of the game of golf. The greens were very puttable and as for the tee boxes, you tee the ball up so the grass below your ball is just for show anyway For $40 the value was reasonable ,the pace of play was excellent and the limited amenities were sufficient and aligned with the price.

I will say I am not a fan of Pete Dye courses but I knew that going in and still had an enjoyable round of golf for the price.

The course was challenging ,the greens was very nice ,but fairways are not as green and a little hard to hit my 2nd shot, bunkers are not enough sand so you hit hard ground. Hopefully they 'll put more sand in bunkers.
