Legends Golf Club

I've been playing this course for many years and it's still in good shape, even with the drought. A couple greens need some help (it looks like they are working on them) but on the whole the course is very nice.

Today I took advantage of their "play free for your birthday" offer. Im glad thats all it cost me. The course was not in good shape at all. It was beyond dead. The greens were terrible. Most had more dirt than grass. Maybe when wet weather comes it will change the condition, but for now its bordering on goat farm status... Overall not a good track layout in my opinion. Lots of holes where you had to play uphill significantly. Felt like the golf course was an after thought. I just wasn't impressed. 18 finishing hole was pitiful. Plenty of other good courses to play that have been kept up.

I had lunch in their grill/bar area, which was nice. Sandwich was decent. Price was iffy. Staff was friendly. Drinks were refilled often.

Grass in areas was dead. The last 3 rounds there has been a lot of ground repair. i.e: holes, mud puddles etc. car batteries died on the 16th. But challenging course friendly staff and good food.

I would play here again. I had not played in a few months and it helped boost my confidence.

Greens need work, but it is still one of the better courses here locally in Temecula.

After driving an hour to try this course for the first time, I was really hoping I would like it. But the best thing I can say about the course is that the greens were very nice - although a bit slow. The fairways were extremely dry and bare in spots. And the tees were average at best. There were an unfortunately high amount of un-repaired ball marks on most of the greens. But that might have been the two foursomes of very slow players that I was stuck behind for the final 6 holes. I didn't see them repair a single ball mark. The course was very much like the neighborhood it is located within. It was probably very nice about 10-15 years ago. But now it seems a bit run down and is definitely in need of remodeling. This course conditions are average to good, but the value for the money is only fair. The conditions at Cross Creek Golf Course (also in Temecula) are better than this course, and the green fees are lower. This course is more convenient to the residents of Temecula - which is probably why they think they can charge more. But with all of the choices of golf courses within 20 miles of Temecula, they may want to reconsider their pricing... Nice - but not the best value for the $.

This course has a lot going for it. While it is short it is the terrain that makes this course both interesting and challenging. It requires a lot of thinking regarding club selection.

There were issues. There was no marshall and several foursomes ahead of us were playing exceptionally slow and the course did nothing about it. The greens were in fair shape but were full of indentations from an old aerating and by the time I played they should have been rolled a putts went off line due to the old aeration.. A course this nice should be rolling their greens. Several tee boxes were in need of reseeding and you can tell they had been neglected long enough to matter.

I will try this course again due to the challenge and will hope that they have done something about their maintenance.

Course not in the greatest shape and many of the holes contain large (2-club) elevation changes which offer nothing in excitement other than long walks uphill. Greens were punched a month ago and are still in bad shape. Putts moved with the consistency of a rolled egg.

I'm sure it has its fine days, but I'd give it a few months before playing here.

I play this course at least once a week. I have never been disappointed.

Course had no notification that the greens had been punched. The green fee was extremely expensive considering the greens were just punched. Overall course conditions are pretty good. Tee boxes are nice, fairways are nice, rough is about perfect, but the greens. Please notify your customers before charging them a regular rate. Shot a 4-over so I wasn't too displeased. Course will be in great shape in about two weeks.

Had a nice Saturday playing the course. Only wish the aerated greens would have been a bit better. Definitely played havoc with my putts. But course over all was nice.

Course has long rough but is a challenge.

We really enjoyed the course until the 18th hole where in the middle of the day they decided to water the middle of the 18 fairway and was impossible not to get drenched by the spinklers. That was a disapointing ending for the round, it was a good thing it was reasonable warm out or we would have had to drive home soaked and cold.

Great staff, good practice facility, and course is challenging enough

I had not played the Legends in a while. I was totally unaware to the great improvements they have made. Greens were perfect, lots of levels and contours. Fairways were in good shape. Sand Traps even had good sand in them. Played the round in just 4 hours.

Not a real long course, but very good Design. Lots of good dog legs and elevated Greens. The course is in good condition, the Greens in great shape and running true. Some the fairway Bunkers in poor condition with hard bottoms, need sand. They let us start early ahead of or T time, the pace was good. Overall a good course and a great day.

I have played this course in the past but it has never been in any better shape before

First time playing The Legends and was totally impressed. No complaints what so ever. I will be back.
