Los Robles Greens Golf Course
About
Nestled in the foothills of the Conejo Valley, Los Robles Greens Golf Course is less than 40 miles from L.A. but feels much further thanks to the beautiful mountain surroundings. It sits at 900 feet above sea level and tumbles across a variety of elevation changes. The towering, mature oaks that line the fairways characterize the course. The diverse layout offers both wide and narrow fairways, water hazards, and thick cuts of rough. The undulating greens are also lightning fast. The course is a fair challenge but still gentle enough to appeal to a range of skill levels. Although it is a public golf course, the beautiful setting and excellent course conditions gives Los Robles Greens the feel of a private club, which makes it a great value for the price.

Los Robles
Played the blacks (70.1/124/6304) in 4H, 15M on a prepaid GolfNow deal for $22.49 including a cart. The poa annua greens looked & putted nice. Firm, medium fast & holding approach shots well, beginning to get bumpy later in the day. I was not in any traps, but they looked to be in good shape overall. Both the fairways and rough had good coverage. I would categorize them 2/3 thin and 1/3 lush. There were large areas that were thin, but there were also smaller areas that were lush to very lush. The rough also has some hardpan bare spots. A newer feature is that areas of the rough between holes 14 & 15 are now raked dirt hardpan. This replaced some lost ball type bushes and wild grass areas that have improved the POP. The tees were the best I have seen them @ LR in a long time. They were not using several tees and it looked like they had been closed for maintenance for awhile. The tees are well on their way to being lush, which is unusual for this track. Customer service from both the pro shop & the starter was excellent, they got me out slightly ahead of my tee time. The cart gal came by 3 different times. Decent alternative, hilly shorter course that is worth it if you get a good rate.
Los Robles MC Thousand Oaks
Course was in excellent condition. Fun to play. Pace was a little slow, but not unbearable. Round took 4 1/2 hours.
Great day
Greens are tough and fast. Course was in great shape.
TOO CROWDED!!!
Paid for 18, played only 13...Backed up on 14 with 3 parties waiting to play....what ? we were behind over one hour at 13hole. One of the employees approached the players to calm us down blaming it on the tournament taking place...but if that was the case why did they even sell us the T.
Course review
Good course only down side is it always slow staff is great course conditions are good .
This course is a great course.
Lots of trees and greens are a good pace . some greens are challenging with slope
Last time
It had been about 7 years since I've played this course and now I remember why. Although the course design and layout are fun, the fairways were not in very good condition. The golfers who play here, regularly I'm assuming, have a entitlement issue. They will drive out into your fairway to hit their amazingly bad shot with no regard for anyone else and it happened quite often. The marshals are nice, but are blind to this. Last time for me at this course.
Slowwwwwwwww!
very slow pace tee off at least 5 hours before sunset or you wont complete 18 holes
Los Robles
First time here in almost 2 years, played the blues (68.5/120/6000) in 3H, 45M with GDR23 on a prepaid GolfNow deal for $20 including a cart. The greens putted nicely, medium fast & held approach shots well. I was only in one trap, but they looked to be in very good shape overall. Both the fairways and rough were nice overall, however I could also call them hit and miss. There were large areas that were very lush, but there were also smaller areas that were thin all the way to bare spots and some areas that had severe divot damage. The tees were very mediocre, many needed divot repair and the turf was worn thin in many spots. It appeared to me that they were not rotating the tee locations as often as they should be. Customer service from both the pro shop & the starter was excellent and the cart gal came by 3 different times.
Could use some work
The course was in pretty good shape overall. The tee boxes were pretty beat up though. If anything, they could use some work.
Unusually Disappointed
The experience I had was unusually disappointing. The driving rage was down so there was no chance to warm up before starting my round. The greens were in poor shape. They were cut much longer than usual leading to much lower green speeds. The greens also seemed to be very bumpy. Not sure if they hadn't been rolled or that is the result of being too long. Either way they were not in as good of shape as they should be.
Great course, not so great course pace
This was my first time playing the course. The first thing I noticed was the great view walking up to the club house. The staff was reasonably friendly at the front desk. Getting the cart was a breeze. Then we hit a wall, literally, we drive to the first hole and there was a wall of 4 groups ahead of us. Our tee time was for 1:36 and we ended up getting to the tee box at 1:55. The course was fun to play but the wait between holes made it less enjoyable. By the time we approached the 6th hole we were already 35 minutes behind pace, mind you we started 20 minutes late, so that's about an hour of lost golf play. I am not sure if it was the great price $25 for 18 holes at super twilight or it being the day after thanksgiving, but we were only able to get in 11 holes before the sun went down. I would recommend the course as it was beautiful, hilly and offered some fun challenges but I recommend making note of when you go to play.
Bad Tee off time management !
Management should not sell to many tee off times around 1 pm anymore , because during winter months the sun sets around 4;45 pm ! People were running late for there tee times , two many foursome groups in front of us , in which some players were pushing there golf carts around . Our tee off time was around 1;36 pm , but we did not hit off until around 1;52 pm !!! And the foursome groups in front of us were very slow also , therefore we were just able to finish a total of 12 holes out of 18 !!! Brutal ...The guy who managed the groups and tee off times could have send some groups out onto the 10th hole , in order to manage the groups and the golf course better . Took all the fun out of playing golf and maybe enjoying the course . To much money being charged for only playing 12 holes total !!! The Fox
A Long Day
On a Friday at 12:00, we were the first group out after a scramble tournament. The front 9 took over 3 hours and 15 minutes. When we finished, we spoke to Management about our experience and we were told they knew the tournament was slower than normal and there was nothing they could do about it. We didn't push, and nothing was offered. VERY DISAPPOINTING DAY.
Nice place
Very nice place , gps on all carts they work very well
This course has everything to help you with your game
There is a great appeal to this for the beginning golfer and the seasoned one. Fair but challenges you at the same time
Price not as advertised.
Was quote 50.00 with cart but then charged 65.00. Wouldn't play 18 their again.
Well designed course
Course layout is great, greens were challenging and well maintained. Only problem I have with this course is speed of play, I've played here three times and it gets backed up pretty bad on Sunday's at least. We were over an hour behind pace according to the GPS this last time. Overall I would definitely play this course again.
Slow play, tee boxes under repair
Took 5 hours on a Sunday 10:45am tee time. I guess that is to be expected for a weekend on a muni course. Tee boxes are in bad shape, look like they are doing repairs. Fairways are OK, not great. Greens were decent but a little slow. Nice GPS system in the carts and good service by the beverage cart staff. All the staff I spoke with were very nice. Just can't recommend right now due to tee boxes and slow play.
Great golf
I played here over 25 years ago! Great course looks even better now! Price was great as well! I'll definitely play there again when in town!
