Los Robles Greens Golf Course
About
Nestled in the foothills of the Conejo Valley, Los Robles Greens Golf Course is less than 40 miles from L.A. but feels much further thanks to the beautiful mountain surroundings. It sits at 900 feet above sea level and tumbles across a variety of elevation changes. The towering, mature oaks that line the fairways characterize the course. The diverse layout offers both wide and narrow fairways, water hazards, and thick cuts of rough. The undulating greens are also lightning fast. The course is a fair challenge but still gentle enough to appeal to a range of skill levels. Although it is a public golf course, the beautiful setting and excellent course conditions gives Los Robles Greens the feel of a private club, which makes it a great value for the price.

Los Robles
Golf Now . Com gave me a great rate with a free hot dog and soda. Course had been aerated the week before but I was aware because it was posted on the site when I booked , which is a good thing.
Good course in a bad location....
OK, the course itself is very nice, greens great, and fairways good for the dryness of the area.
However, if you are looking for a nice peaceful setting to play golf, this isn't it. The majority of the course is adjacent to 101, and you can't even hear yourself think! Much less carry on a conversation with your friends while you play.
One other note, the starter told this was a "no smoking" course, so it was suggested I not smoke a cigar until I was away from the club house.
Also, if you come in as a single, and they have no one to pair you with, they want you to pay an extra $15 cart fee. I didn't, but it is printed on your receipt.
Excellent course BUT...
My tee time was before 11am and when I'd arrived 30 minutes early, was told the driving range was closed for maintenance on Thursday until 11. The practice putting green and chipping areas were being watered at the same time so they were not available to use and I don't play very often. And their attitude was 'that's your problem'...fortunately they allowed me to take a few practice swings before my first tee shot. LOL And besides several of the fairways not being too well manicured, the course has some excellent holes and is definitely worth the 'discounted' green fee!.
Excellent value
I have played many courses, this one you will want to play again
fun day
I was a single and the starter was great, teamed me up with a great group. The course was in great shape. Loved it all and at a great price.
Value, value, value
Got desired afternoon t-time morning of the day before I wanted to play and many in and around that time were available. Excellent course for a city public course.
Mediocre
Course was kind of torn up. Front nine was In better shape than the back, but i still enjoyed the course.
LR reversed
Best part was cost..HOT DEAL and got paired up with a good but funny couple of guys. Course was set up for the day in reverse 9's...Played #10 first... Nice variety. Spots on course where grass has not reseeded or grown. Greens were good. Running a little late but starter let me on ASAP...but did call before knowing I was late and that on course starter runs ahead of schedule
One of the best courses in the area for the money
Los Robles is one of my favorite courses in the Conejo Valley area. Have been playing this course since before the update and redesign and keep coming back. Really like the layout from tee to green and for the cost, you can't beat it.
Los Robles
First time here in almost 2 years, played the blues (68.5/120/6000) in 3H, 45M with GDR23 on a prepaid GolfNow deal for $20 including a cart.
The greens putted nicely, medium fast & held approach shots well.
I was only in one trap, but they looked to be in very good shape overall.
Both the fairways and rough were nice overall, however I would also call them hit and miss. There were large areas that were very lush, but there were also smaller areas that were thin to bare spots and some areas that had severe divot damage.
The tees were very mediocre, many needed divot repair and the turf was worn thin in many spots. It appeared to me that they were not rotating the tee locations as often as they should be.
Customer service from both the pro shop & the starter was excellent and the cart gal came by 3 different times.
Good solid course at fair price
Title says it all. Good mix of easy holes and difficult and for a few of the Par 4's best not to hit the driver. Smart play rewarded over aggressive at times. As for the course probably in better shape than most of it's neighboring ones and is handling the California drought this year well. We were a 3some and paired up with a friendly course regular who clued us to their 9 hole deal that comes w/ breakfast - worth looking into & will try it soon.
Great course, great staff, greens need some help.
The staff is friendly and accomodating. The range is waaay better than Cam Springs. The greens have very inconsistent speeds. Some are much faster or slower than others. I played a round starting at 3:00 and finished in under 4 hours, ao pace of play was excellent. The course has this ridiculous group tournament on Fridays at 5pm with 15 inch cups on the greens. Imagine 30 plus drunk guys playing best ball. It creates some wear and tear on the course, especially on the greens.
That said, a great course and value.
Nice Course
Nice course easily accessed by the 101 freeway. Convenient parking and well maintained club house and restaurant. The staff in the pro shop and the starter are friendly and accommodating. The golf carts appear newer and have a great GPS system. The fairways are maintained and well mowed, the rough is not to long, the greens are in good shape and putts roll nicely. We had no trouble finding the beverage cart.
Not a bad public course
Despite the drought, the course fairways and greens were in vert good shape. We started at 4pm and the Starter was nice enough to let us begin at the 1st. tee or we would have been stuck behind a slow moving tournament starting at the 10th. We would of never played 18 holes so many thanks to him.
If you like peace and quiet while playing golf there is a problem. The front nine is against the freeway. You have to get to the back nine before you hear the birds singing.
One complaint I do have is the restaurant has been closed for food when we finished the last two times. However the bar was open. I asked about dinner before we started and I was told the kitchen was open until dark. Well, it wasn't dark when we finished and the kitchen was closed. Somebody leaving early?
Easy going out. Challenging coming in.
Fairways were dry and spotty but expected for drought affected So. Cal. golf courses. The greens, however, were in great shape which gave golfers that final ray of hope to save a score.
Hollowed out oak tree on 17th green was gone but you will find pieces of it scattered throughout the golf course.
A decent round
It was a little slow, we finish in over 4-1/2 hours. Some of the tee boxes were a little uneven and a little beat up. The green was slow, but ok. Overall it was a good round of golf.
Crowded
They book too many people too close together and try to accommodate everyone. This causes severe back-ups. We often waited 10-15 min to tee off. That is simply unacceptable.
Great course for the money.
Overall the course was in pretty good shape, and for a public course I was impressed. There were a few bare spots on some fairways, but otherwise the course was green and the greens were in very nice shape.
Hey, there's a drought
The fairways were challenged. Lots of bare spots and uneven surface. Found a broken hose with lots of water flooding an area in front of 1st green (yes, I called). I'm an 18 handicap and the course is a wee bit long for me so I try and break 90. Haven't done it yet!I play Westlake alot and that's rarely over 3.5 hours with lots of golfers. Why is Los Robles always 5?
First time out
Pretty nice course overall, lots of trees and a few blind shots, greens were being watered while we were playing, fairways were in decent condition but a great value for the deal.
Off the tips there is a 1200 yard difference between these courses. In addition, there is some space between holes at Robles, as opposed to westlake. The course designs are incredibly different. Wedtlake actually books groups closer together than Robles, but they can get away with it because its a shorter (but fun) course.
If you're looking at playing weekend golf and are concerned about the pace of play, best to tee off before 9. In addition, if you look at the course yardage, you can get an idea of a longer or shorter round.
