Los Robles Greens Golf Course
About
Nestled in the foothills of the Conejo Valley, Los Robles Greens Golf Course is less than 40 miles from L.A. but feels much further thanks to the beautiful mountain surroundings. It sits at 900 feet above sea level and tumbles across a variety of elevation changes. The towering, mature oaks that line the fairways characterize the course. The diverse layout offers both wide and narrow fairways, water hazards, and thick cuts of rough. The undulating greens are also lightning fast. The course is a fair challenge but still gentle enough to appeal to a range of skill levels. Although it is a public golf course, the beautiful setting and excellent course conditions gives Los Robles Greens the feel of a private club, which makes it a great value for the price.

The fairways are the only concern, but its winter and everything has died out. the greens were great and the tee boxes were in good condition.

needs some attention..
I use to love this course, I still like the layout.. its short, fun and a great place if you want to work on your iron game.. however the conditions of the course is not up to par yet.. the fairways are mostly brown and patchy and the greens are very bumpy.. cant seem to hold a ball on a line.. It's a fun course but they really need to do something about the condition its in now..
great golf course
Paid with golf now, was unable play monday because of a emergency. But I play the course more than well over a hundred time. The course and staff always the best.
Fun, Interesting course
Los Robles offers varied terrain with several elevated tees, water hazards and challenging greens. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Play can get a little slow on busy days even though the marshal tries to keep things moving. Carts feature on-board GPS which is a welcome feature.
Overall fun course
The day we played, it had just stopped raining after 2 days on nonstop rain. Suffice to say, the course was damp. The strange part was how many worms were on the greens. All in all, the course is fun to play. I've played several times there before, but not since '07. The course is not so long, but the layout gives you lots of risk / reward situations. Fun course, could be better, can't complain.
Allow for a 5-hour round
The greens are an impediment to a (normal) round of golf. The speed of the greens are too fast for the average golfer which slows the pace of play for everyone. Also, there is a lack of marshalling to prevent backups on the Par-3's. When a call was placed to the pro shop on this matter their response was "maybe you'll get 15-holes in before dark."
Almost always enjoy playing
We play here often enough and we know the course really well. While not always running on time, we encountered a very slow group of apparent amateurs teeing off from the championship tees. We got to tee off about 35 minutes past our scheduled tee time so that slowed down the pace.
Great Course great Staff
Los Robles is my "Home Course" I enjoy this course. It is in good shape and the staff is very friendly to everyone. The greens and fairways are in good shape. I play here a lot and it compaires to courses that cost twice as much.
A good course but fairways need work.
Have played there before and will play again. Lots of trees but greens are open and well guarded.
Good, especially for a muni course.
I play the course every 6-8 weeks; plays slow on weekends often, but nice staff, interesting course (especially the back 9) and is reasonably challenging if you pick the right tees for almost everyone.
A picturesque course with Hills, Water and Oaks.
This course is very majestic with hilly fairways and water.
Oaks line many of the fairways adding a challenge to every level of golfer. Not a long course, but long enough for a great day of fun.
This course is set in a country club atmosphere.
You will love your experience on this Southern California golf course.
For time of year course is in great shape. Fun - not too challanging.
Variety of holes with elevated tees and greens. Made course interesting. Greens are fast with some big breaks. Water hazards and traps kept you on your toes.
Good value
Great experience! Good value with GolfNow. Will contiune to book my tee times with GolfNow.
Enjoyable layout
This is the second time I've played Los Robles Greens this year. I enjoy the course layout very much. No two holes play the same.I played the day after over night rain. We played lift clean and place. The fairways were tighter than I like. I prefer a little more comforatable lie. With all the Oak trees around the course it is a very pretty course. The rough was spotty and clumpy. I like the club house, but it needs better maintenance. The GPS on the carts worked well. Xjumper.
Great experience
Since we played early on a Friday AM, it played like a private course; not too crowded. Greens were still wet, but most of the conditions were pretty good. Nice day of golf...if you over look a few bad shots!
Great course but greens need some work
I had fun just had trouble with the greens had to fix at least 6/10 ball marks because they were in my line
Great deal for a great course!
I started playing Los Robles at the beginning of 2012, and I love it. The staff are helpful and up-beat, the carts are clean, and the course is so much fun to play. The driving range and putting and chipping greens make it a great place to warm up before a round. The challenging layout and landscape make it one of my favorites!
Decent value, marshall did not maintain pace
Since moving away from Thousand Oaks a few years back, I haven't had the opportunity to play Robles much. The new pro shop and restaurant turned out nice, however I was shocked to hear that rental clubs at a muni course cost $45? I did see that they were Callaway RAZR X clubs, but it doesn't seem to align with the overall course clientele and price tiers - by purely my opinion. Maybe offer a 'regular" rental and a "premium" rental to serve a broader audience? That was going to cost more than our twilight round! Something did not seem right there, but we ended up finding some clubs to use. My biggest grief of the day was that when we arrived, the pro shop team told us we should move pretty quickly, at 2:15 per 9... only to find out there were two tournaments ahead of us and we finished the first nine in 2:40. It was a long round, got about 13 holes in.
Stay away from busy periods
I have played this course in the past and it is a good public course, not terribly long with some challenging shots and lies. However, stay away from typically crowded times. Play early in the morning or not at all. We recently played on Black Friday with a 12:30 tee time and we only got through 10 holes in 3 1/2 hours. It would have been a 7+ hour round.
Your skill level can't be advanced with your handicap. Sorry
