About
The Club at Savannah Harbor is steeped in Southern charm, offering dramatic views that span from the surrounding wetlands of the Back River to Savannah's famous Historic District. Sam Snead and Bob Cupp designed the golf course. Their ultimate goal was to bring to life the philosophy of "risk and reward." For example, a well executed shot placed near a hazard is rewarded with less club to the green or a better approach angle, or even both. The putting surfaces have gentle transitions to different pin locations, making them more traditional than modern. The designers incorporated another classic design element, the greens have subtle roll-offs or collars that fall away, a feature of golf courses from the 1930s and 40s. Golfers can also use the club's large, duel-ended practice facility.

Great Course
We had a Thursday tee time ,but rain was intimate and drove to course to see if we change our tee time the next day. I didn't catch his name. But he very helpful for next day tee time.
Steve the starter was very helpful with our our rental clubs which were excellent Marvic Callaway clubs and open the driving range early became of the rain from yesterday
The cart lady was very pleasant and very efficient with beer orders, ice and wishing us excellent round.

Beautiful course in Beautiful condition
This is the nicest course I have played in a really long time. Everything about this golfing experience was perfect from start to finish on and off the couse.

Nice layout but not worth the money at this time.
The course had a nice layout and from tee to green the conditions were very good. The greens however were not worth the price we paid to play. Some greens had quite a few sand patches on them. I even called a few days before asking about the condition before paying these prices and was told that they were in excellent condition. Obviously this wasnt accurate.

The morning we arrived they put sand on the greens and didnt notify anyone, which make it impossible to put. If I would've known that I wouldn't have spent $175 for the round.

Bad greens
It's April and it seemed like the greens were top dressed. Had I paid more than I did I would have severely upset

Greens at local municipal courses are 10x better than Savannah Harbor. Course attendants were working on a sprinkler and turned it on while I was playing, hitting me with water during my swing. After the round I sat at the bar waiting to get a drink, after 15 minutes of no service I left. Premium price for lackluster course.

Great history, but….
The course has a great layout and lots of very interesting holes, but the greens are very slow and could do with more grass and less color. And the famous view of the historic district and downtown Savannah? Not much to be seen anymore, a couple of new apartment blocks and the convention centre have taken nearly all of it.

Great layout
Great layout. High end amenities. Great range and dining room. Course was in rough shape for the money paid. But still lots of fun.

Best public course in Savannah
Absolutely love playing here. it has a very open feel, great conditions, and many scenic views of the city and marshes.

Mixed bag
Course layout was good. Conditions will probably be better in a few weeks. Club house was having new carpet installed the day I played, so pro shop and snack bar were in disarray. Pace was slow. Waiting on every tee box. Group behind was right on us too, but there was no where to go.

By far the most junior friendly golf course/pro shop within 30 miles of Bluffton,SC. The course conditions are improving significantly. Not all renovations are completed but JJ and I will forever call the Club at Savannah Harbor home. I pray they continue to invest in the next generation.
