About
The Club at Savannah Harbor is steeped in Southern charm, offering dramatic views that span from the surrounding wetlands of the Back River to Savannah's famous Historic District. Sam Snead and Bob Cupp designed the golf course. Their ultimate goal was to bring to life the philosophy of "risk and reward." For example, a well executed shot placed near a hazard is rewarded with less club to the green or a better approach angle, or even both. The putting surfaces have gentle transitions to different pin locations, making them more traditional than modern. The designers incorporated another classic design element, the greens have subtle roll-offs or collars that fall away, a feature of golf courses from the 1930s and 40s. Golfers can also use the club's large, duel-ended practice facility.

Lively
Greens well maintained. Design was nice.Fairways in good condition. One should be aware that there are Alligators out on the course. Since I am from California, that threw my game off a little bit. Nice course.

Good course
I love this course and try to play it wherever I am in town. The course conditions were above average except for the greens. Surprisingly they rolled better than I expected. It is my understanding that they are redoing all of the greens. I play about 3 days a week and when I go out of town I expect to play good courses. I would recommend this course to anyone. The course had power problems so we had no food or beverage from inside. Beverage cart was excellent along with the starter. Great staff

I recommend
This course always delivers a good time. I am a local and have gotten to know a few members and staff quite well. What a great group of people. The course is challenging (for me) and I enjoy the layout. If I'm not mistaken, the course is due for some upgrades this summer but definitely go and enjoy when/if you can.

Great course to play if you're visiting the area
First of all, I'm shocked by some of the recent reviews saying the course was in bad shape. I played on 3/29/2022 and found the fairways and greens to be excellent. No idea how it can go from "very little grass in the fairways" to being perfectly lush and full in one week, maybe they had scalped everything and it had grown in?
The greens were a little slow, that would be one my only complaints. The other is the $165 green fee. That was way too steep but I guess worth it to play once.
Fantastic practice areas and great/fun course to play overall.

Stay Away
Extremely disappointed in this course. Great website but it goes down hill from there.
No staff to greet you or help you get started. Limited hours on the snack bar.
Course is in horrible shape throughout and the on-course restrooms are a disgrace (see photo).
There are way better options in the area. Stay away from this one

The course condition was not great. Not much grass on the fairways. It is also too open to be a great challenge.
it's hard to believe we're talking about the same course... I played on 3/29/2022 and the fairways were perfect.
Course is ok at Deal Time green fee.
I have played this course 4-5 times. Decent overall condition except for the greens. Ok value if you can book a green fee deal. Not so much at the rack rate.

Unplayable at this time
Totally unacceptable, I understand that they are going to be working on the greens in a few weeks but I can't understand why the entire course appears to have had little or no maintenance for at least two weeks

Meh
Poor quality for price. Greens were slow and covered in disease. Kitchen understaffed and slow. Design is pretty vanilla.

Great layout
Overall a good experience! Greens are being totally redone in April '22 so very rough snd bumpy. On course washrooms closed no mention in the PS when we teed off. Pace of play was slow! Great green complexes etc.

Greens are TERRIBLE, and they don’t tell you at check in.

Pure Class
This was the most enjoyable golf experience my wife and I have ever had. Every member of the staff was highly professional, courteous and prompt to attend to us. The course was challenging but fair. The condition of the course is top notch and the amenities are first rate. The 19th hole staff was amazing as well. Adrian was our host and was super courteous, professional and accommodating to us.
I literally cant say enough good things about the course, staff and amenities. Tee off and enjoy!

Nice course. Decent layout. Greens fair. Pace was okay until the back 9 Off day so could have been much worse. Staff snotty. No real engagement. If I’d paid full price I’d be disappointed.

Don’t bother with this course
You will be very dissatisfied with the condition of the greens here. Bumpy, missing grass, painted. Bad. And for $180 bucks is disappointing to say the least. The girl who had to cover the bar and the restaurant was beyond rude. Very limited food options. Can’t even get a good hot dog. Only plus side was the beverage cart girl. Who was awesome.
I played this course yesterday, and you must be an idiot if you paid $180 knowing that they are redoing all the greens (I paid $49). Also, the staff is wonderful, but you get what you deserve. Maybe treat people the way you want to be treated, Judge Smails.
Greens need a little work
1st time back since November 2020. Couldn’t beat the price. Saw announcement that the greens will be renovated starting in April and yes they do need work. But for winter golfing it was excellent to get out.
