About
The Club at Savannah Harbor is steeped in Southern charm, offering dramatic views that span from the surrounding wetlands of the Back River to Savannah's famous Historic District. Sam Snead and Bob Cupp designed the golf course. Their ultimate goal was to bring to life the philosophy of "risk and reward." For example, a well executed shot placed near a hazard is rewarded with less club to the green or a better approach angle, or even both. The putting surfaces have gentle transitions to different pin locations, making them more traditional than modern. The designers incorporated another classic design element, the greens have subtle roll-offs or collars that fall away, a feature of golf courses from the 1930s and 40s. Golfers can also use the club's large, duel-ended practice facility.

Excellent Experience
Awesome course, excellent staff. Challenging pin locations where you had to play smart or you'd throw away your hole. Came up for the weekend and will definitely be playing this course again.
play was OK
Play was fine but due to the extremely hot temperature there was not a lot of options for water. There was only 2 stations open, no beverage cart & restaurant was closed.
It made play hard . In the middle of the summer here in Ga there definitely needs to be beverage options.

Irish Open
Fun Golf Course, Great Challenge for the Back Tees! Beautiful Links Course on Hutchinson Island in the middle of the Savannah River, Great views of the Savannah Sky Line, the Talmadge Bridge, if you're lucky a Super Container ship will go by. The course has a great variety of different length holes, a few trees strategically placed, just enough water and very strong pars 3's. Ive played the course 5 times over the last few years and most important of all, the greens have always been great! Very Very Lucky on that!
The 19th hole has nice patio , good drinks and food. last time we took the water taxi over and back with help from the Westin shuttle to the course, Right on the River, the Westin is a great place to stop on the way back and have a cocktail, Great sky line view of the city, again, you might get lucky and get a container ship or one of the paddle wheelers pass by. We will be back again next year!

Always a pleasure to play this course! The wind adds an additional challenge for you. Plus it's a little tricky visually. It appears to be wise open, but don't get fooled by that. Pay attention! Great course!

Good course but poor value
Read quite a few excellent "Must Play" reviews on this course. Drove from HH to play it. It has great customer service, is in good condition, but the greens are SLOW. It was a pretty typical resort course, but it would have been much more fun if the greens were alot faster. I will say that the practice facility was very good. If it were $75, I would have been happier. I don't mind paying, but it didn't live up to the hype.

Played here first time today. Great course that is challenging enough but keeps you engaged. Greens run great.

Great people great course
The course at Savannah Harbor was in great shape, The greens roll smooth and the pace of play was quick. The staff was on point from the time we dropped our backs at the front of the building until they dropped us back at our car when we finished. Lots of birds and alligators to be seen. Over all we had a great time.

Nice track
The course was in great shape. Greens were nice and firm, I watched the ball on some of my long putts roll pure all the way to the hole (or just short!)! Pace was great, we played in 3:58 and we had a mixed group.
My main issue with the course was bug control. I understand it’s built in a low lying area, but on some holes the swarms were uncontrollable. I don’t know if the course sprays or not, but would definitely recommend they start or increase occurrence.
Also the rack rate was $109 which seemed pretty steep.
Don’t get me wrong I had a great round and the course was in great shape. I was just forced to deal with quite a few mosquitoes on some
holes, and as we all know that can influence the outcome on our golf shots.

First class staff
Clearly, they are focused on providing the customer with an enjoyable round of golf. From the course maintenance to the personal interaction from the time you arrive.
Course is beautiful tee to green. Greens roll perfect. My only knock would be greens are firming up and will need to get punched or watered real soon. They are getting hard to hold on approach shots. Other than that, best value in SAV/HHI area.
