The Club at Savannah Harbor
About
The Club at Savannah Harbor is steeped in Southern charm, offering dramatic views that span from the surrounding wetlands of the Back River to Savannah's famous Historic District. Sam Snead and Bob Cupp designed the golf course. Their ultimate goal was to bring to life the philosophy of "risk and reward." For example, a well executed shot placed near a hazard is rewarded with less club to the green or a better approach angle, or even both. The putting surfaces have gentle transitions to different pin locations, making them more traditional than modern. The designers incorporated another classic design element, the greens have subtle roll-offs or collars that fall away, a feature of golf courses from the 1930s and 40s. Golfers can also use the club's large, duel-ended practice facility.

Excellent Course to play.
Staff was friendly and professional. Course is as challenging as you want to make it. First clubhouse I've seen in awhile with an attendant in the men's locker room.
top 2 I have ever played
just a perfect day!!! conditions were perfect, fairways, tee boxes, and especially the greens were top notch. took the free ferry over to Savannah after the round and had a great dinner at Tubby's.
LOOOONNGGGGG
Played from the back tees and WOW!!! Good luck trying to even spot a flag from that far back! 248 yard par 3? 660 yard par 5? Definitely a tough course. Make sure you hit every ball precise or you're gonna struggle! Beautiful course though. Just a little rough from all the rain the week before but would be great if weather is nice! Oh ya and putting....HAHAHAHA! Great course though! And the range is fantastic!
Good enough for Champions tour, good enough for me and my pals
Very enjoyable round o,n a great course . Back nine became more difficult when temperature dropped and wind kicked up. Tough pins led to interesting putts. Tee set up allowed for all in our group to be challenged.
Deal of the Year
Great quality golf course. Unfortunate that the day prior to play it rained all day making the course soaked. Some indication that their are drainage tile concerns. Tees and greens were excellent. Fairways were soaked allowing very little roll. Granted it is February. The rate was fantastic on Golfnow.com.
I would recommend this course to anyone going to Savannah,GA. Stay downtown Savannah and catch the boat across the river to the course. Staff was friendly and very helpful.
$32 are you serious.
fun ,intresting, it was golf nothing bad is possible.
Fun ,intresting, challenge, 7 ,nice to see how the 1 % er's live ! Handicap? I play.
loved the course
Beautiful facilty, great pro shop and friendly staff. Course in great condition and really fun to play
Cold round/great course!
Played in 38 degree weather with a 25- 30 mph wind that always seemed to be blowing in our faces, but still, overhaul, one of the most fun rounds we've ever played. Even though it was dead winter, the course was stunning! Greens were great and you can't beat the views.
hot deal
Got a hot deal on golf now, this made it very worth it. Had I payed full price (nearly double) I would not have rated it as high. Course was in tough shape in spots which is understandable considering the ongoing winter this year. Food menu was limited due to a junior tornament that was held that morning which was kind of a bummer but items o menu were good.
I would love to come back during peak season with no on going tourny. Great proximity to our accommodations at the Westin.
Glad I played!!
I found the course to be challenging but fair. It was my second time playing the course. Unfortunately, it had rained a couple of days before so it was cart path only. The was still in very good shape. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is visiting Savannah. I must mention that it was the first time I ever viewed "camels" while playing. I was hoping they would speak and say "Do you know what day it is?"
A true links experience
After viewing the course from the Talmadge bridge on many occasions, I finally had the opportunity to play on a blustery January day. The course was in excellent shape with greens that rolled fast and true. I found the course fair and challenging, with many risk reward options on every hole. Even with 30 mph wind gusts, it was a fun and fair test of golf. I was able to get a steeply discounted rate thru Golfnow, which only increased the value. If you are in the Savannah area, you can't go wrong with a round at Savannah harbor!
The best keeper secret in Savannah
I enjoyed the challenge of play large fast greens .
Best course in Savannah
Hands down the best course in the Savannah; outstanding customer service! A must play if visiting
Great Course
This is a great course. The staff is friendly and the facilities are great. Other golfnow patrons acted terrible. I hope they continue to advertise on golfnow because it's a great deal.
Friendly staff, fun course!
This course was extremely challenging but it was a lot of fun to play. The staff were very friendly and helped us out with what to see/do in Savannah! This was a great deal for the price!
Nice layout and facilities.
Caught the course on a cart path only day. There had been a ton of rain the prior day. Thus made play slow. That wouldn't keep me from returning to play again.
Fast Greens
Since we had a few rainy days the fairways were soggy in places making the striking of the golf ball challenging for a recreational golfer. The course has a variety of looks making a player know the distance of their striking distances for a successful par. For an average woman golfer, the tee to hole distance seems longer than other courses in the area which becomes another challenge to get a decent score. Love the big screen telling distances, digital score card and the ability to send your score to your email. The greens are well maintained and rock hard. Your ball will sail far beyond the hole if you do not sink your putt. A great course to enjoy and grow your game
Savannah Harbor So Sweet!
I love to play golf, occasionally I even play good. So most of the time I play local and public courses that are affordable. But every once in awhile you get the chance to play a really nice course and it is epic. This was that day. The grass was awesome, not like the brown hibernating stuff every where else. The trees were brilliant fall colors. The view of Talmadge bridge, the Westin, multi story freighters on the river, even the alligator sunning himself in the record 80 degree weather all combined to make it an awesome day. I played solid bogey golf, which is great for me. There were a couple of fiendish holes and the greens were incredibly subtle. But the golf was straight forward and immensely enjoyable.
Great course, beautiful, nice greens, driving range included!
What a terrifc course! The only thing that could have been better was if they weren't overseeding...the course was a bit wet, and cart-path only. It was a steal for $44 per round. As good as the $95 courses we've played.
