Best deal!
I really like the lay out, fairway were fine, a little wet. Greens were weird, slow....but i still enjoyed playing there.
Ended up pairing with a threesome who turned out to be old friends.....
Had a great time
Beautiful day, slow slow play
Our tee time was at noon and we didn’t finish until 5:15pm. Very slow. The guys we were paired with confirmed that the pace is almost always very slow! But it was a beautiful day and the course was beautiful. It was pretty challenging for myself as a new golfer. Back nine was much easier for me!
Bunkers
The last time I played a course that actually had sand in the bunkers was Silverado Country Club. Blue Rock actually had sand in the bunkers & they were groomed. When you see a course like that you know the course is well maintained, and Blue Rock was. "Nice work to all".
Blue Rock Spring-West Course
Received a great deal from Golfnow. Played white tee boxes which are in good condition. Fairways were average to good with some areas muddy or grass cut too short. Greens were good and played deceptively fast. Overall happy playing this short course with challenging greens.

I like this course.
noon t time cost 40 bucks. Very reasonable in the bay area.
Carts are included. Thank God, course is hilly you don't want to walk it.
Challenging conditions. Especially the 14th hole. Wicked dogleg and a mean hill on top of that.
Hole 6 is especially fun. Hitting off a 100 ft elevation makes you feel like you've got a "real man's drive!"
The course can be aflicted with saturation issues in winter and spring. It hasn't rained for a month, but those hills hold water like a sponge and it ultimately finds its way into the fairway.
The clubhouse is a bit wanting. Instead of a cool sports bar feel like Diablo hills or Diablo Creek, it feels like a high school cafeteria. Flat screen TV are too cheap to not buy more than 1.
The driving range is good as well. Distances well marked out on a slight up hill grade for those who like to warm up before the course. Although it's location is somewhat inconvenient.
Staff is good. They were a but late ~10 min with the cart but acknowledged it and apologized.
Blue Rock Springs West
Great course, one of the better looking courses around. in December everything is green and well manicured. the course is hilly and presents ample challenges There are ample par 4s and a few 5's.
in December a 1pm T-time is the absolute last T if you want to finish 18, even that is a stretch and you should plan on a "twilight 16-18". The course is busy, but popular for a reason.
Errant shots are relatively to find, even one that got stuck in a tree. There are minimal water hazards.
I look forward to see what it looks like in summer time. definitely recommend.
