Blue Rock Springs Golf Course - West

Had not played Blue Rock in years, but got a special because the greens had been punched last week. Course was in very good condition; tee boxes were excellent; pro shop staff a bit snippy because we ere late; and originally parked way up top and had to move. Overall enjoyed the day and would play there again.

We had a foursome in front of us that was slow as molasses. They need a marshal to make sure pace of play is at a good pace, Most likely will not play here again.

Greens were very sandy but other than that everything was great!

First time playing the West course. I enjoyed the layout as well as the wonderful couple from Napa I played with.

The course is undergoing a huge upgrade. Tee boxes are being leveled, fairways being reseeded and overall a lot of work going on. The courses will be wonderful when. completed.

Sadly they gave up their commitment to the health and safety of their patrons. We had to wear masks they couldn’t wash the carts. They were at one time excellent at this - now - cig butts in the drink wells - clearly a cart that hadn’t been cleaned for awhile. Cart person had no response to my concern but seemed embarrassed. Simple thing go back to how you did it before.

Played the West course this time. It's a fun course and was in reasonable shape. Pace of play was fair, but improved when we played through a group on the par 3 15th.

It was pretty windy, but that definitely made it more challenging.

I parked on the hill above the clubhouse, as the lower parking lot was full. I saw a young man sitting in a golf cart waring a blue rock springs shirt and hat, so I asked him if he could run me down the hill real quick so I could check in. He said it would be about 15 minutes, as he is on his break. I felt that all he had to do is run me down the hill and then add whatever time it took back on his break time. If it wasn't for the knee brace I was wearing I wouldn't have bothered him. (I guess customer service doesn't mean anything at Blue Rock).

Great staff, the moment I stepped in the clubhouse they quckly acknowledge us and greeted us. I forget the young mean name but my uncle requested a piece of tape no hesitation he got us some tape, had our cart keys ready and all set to go. Course was great! The pair we got to play with was great and friendly. Marshall on point, very friendly ask how game was and if we had any question! That was great, most times you only speak to Marshall when problems happen. Kitchen staff a bit overwhelm but very friendly and efficient with a full house. Great experience and fantastic staff. My uncle and I had a blast!!!! Thank you!

Slow pace today ... stuck behind 2 kids with a grown up teaching them the game. They left after the 10th hole ... yeah! But no, the twosome ahead of them were even slower. They didn’t ask if we’d like to play through and finally picked up and left after the 14th hole. Normally the pace is quicker ... hopefully next time.

Course is in pretty good shape Considering it’s August. I would say hardest part here was most holes had 30+ Yards of elevation up or down. Unless you have a yardage gun with the slope it’s very tough to gauge the course.
