Blue Rock Springs Golf Course - West

Good value for money and really good pace of play. Was able to complete my round under 4 hours.

First the course requires $10 deposit for taking a cart. That wouldn’t be an issue; except I had to wait nearly 20 minutes for the refund. Putting it mildly, The proshop staff was un-friendly. The East course greens were bumpy, slow, which makes putts go everywhere; except the hole.

I have played this course many times but today was the worst. The fairways were very dry and the bunkers barely had any sand, especially #11. We had to skip hole 6 because the foursome ahead of us wouldn’t let us through and they were both bad and slow. We drove past this group when they were halfway done with hole 6. We played 7-11 before we saw them coming down the hill of hole 8. Our twosome could have easily been out of their way in 5 minutes. We caught up to a different foursome on 11 and experienced that same problem the rest of the round. A Marshall would have helped pace of play. I don’t know if the course conditions were due to budget cuts or what but I was not happy.

Layout was nice. Hitting from hills with nice scenery and holes spread out enough to not interfere with other holes. Fairways were decent but rough had too many white flowers or clover flowers so I seemed to struggle finding white ball amongst them. I would play again .

Some spots need water, but overall the course was in pretty good shape.
