Tee boxes/ Cart Attendant

Played the East course, very few flat lies on the tee boxes which had lots of bare ground/hard pan exposed. I don’t remember the boxes ever being in this bad of shape. The “shop” at the turn was closed on this particular day. Not a problem but you would have thought there would have been a cart going around to help players. We tee’d off at 9:20 and the first time a cart attendant spoke to us, we literally were on 18 tee. So, slightly off today at Blue Rock but me and my group will certainly be back.

Disappointed (again)

After playing the West course a few weeks ago, I decided to play the East course. The bunkers were hard pan and not fun to play out of. There was a group of 5 ahead of our 4 some so it was slow. The course layout is such that there is little variety to the course, which I knew before playing.

Golf course conditions

None of the ball washers had water in them.

They asked for you to put a $10 deposit on cart key and when you come back in to get your deposit back there’s usually a line.

Golf cart bad shape.

$10 golf cart hold (robbery)

I’ve played this course several times, it’s a great value course and has a lot of good things going for it. However I’ve played many courses and this is the first time I’ve heard of a course charging $10 extra as a golf cart “holding” fee. In order to get your $10 back you have to give the key back after your round AND have the card you booked the round with, which I did not have. I can guarantee most people forget about this as well and never go back into the clubhouse to get their $10 back. This is a cash grab by them and is not a great way to treat your loyal east bay customers.

Course condition is getting better. The traps still need some help. They are hard as a rock. Either add some sand or turn the sand that is in there over or something.
