Clown show without a marshal

I’ve played during the week before without any issues but this last weekend round is my last time at this course. With no marshal on a Sat. afternoon there were carts just hopping back on in-between groups on the final few holes after finishing their 18 making it a total mess. Pro shop didn’t care.

Well kept course. Lots of elevation. Fast greens. Great views. Challenging layout. Not too many water hazards. Large sand traps. Will play here again.

As good as I remember.

I had not played Blue Rock East Course since my playing partner toe’d a shot that hit me in the left cheek. The course had just aerated the greens on either Thursday or Friday which was noted on GolfNow. Tee’d off at 6:10 first grouping from the blues. From the jump, course was in great condition minus the greens. Fairway were cut perfect. Par 3 tee boxes weren’t chewed up. Roughs weren’t too much to handle. Amazing course for the price and the condition I always find it in. Highly recommend after a week or two from April 20th for the greens to get back. Must play.

Paired up with another single who knew the course and was of great help. The greens were quick and tricky, the rough was high, and the fairways were in average condition. They get a lot of play so don't expect pristine conditions. Overall it was a nice track in moderate condition with fast breaking greens. Nice experience.

Good course, no driving range til 7am

I wish golf now would alert you to driving range closures, I show up to an early round without any warm up and that’s always a bad way to start a round. Then we get charged with a 10 dollar deposit for our cart keys, very odd especially since they had cart guys working all morning taking carts. Course was great, pace was excellent but we did tee off at 630 am. Bar and food is very limited but gets the job done. Absolutely no water on the course and the staff wasn’t friendly or very professional. But if your thing is golf this pace is a gem.
