best hidden treasure in the bay area
I keep on recommending this course to my friends. Nice value for your money.
Recommend all golfers
Very good rating for the East course. In summer time, my family and friend are to play golf at BRGC-East course because it's cool weather with light sea wind from Vallejo bay.
It's worthy to enjoy everything.
What Tee Box?
It was difficult to rate the course because the fairways and greens were great, but the tee boxes were terrible. I did not see one tee box out of the 18 that I would consider as good. Most were sloped, uncut and full of crab grass. They were the worst I have seen in a long time. I played from the blues, so I can't comment on the others but if they were similar then they were terrible as well. I've played here before and this seemed out of character for this club.
We Were Thirsty
I like Blue Rock East, the layout, course condition,
price, it's all good. One complaint, there was no
water on the back nine. Two faucets didn't work,
and two thermos jugs were empty. It was hot out
there yesterday afternoon. Help us out guys.
Blue Rock Springs East
Overall the course experience was good. However, there was a little more than average waiting probable due to over booking.
The Rock
I play almost every Saturday morning. Love the golf complex both east, west and warm up. Staff is friendly. Management / members need to stop the practice of sending fivesomes out on week-end mornings.
Great course
Great course and challenging too! Started out slow but holes are challenging with tough greens. In great shape and will give you some difficulty even for an intermediate golfer!
course nice and green good weather
we like playing here, most holes are forgiving, not much wind
Really fun course...East
This is always a fun course to play. Staff is very friendly...all the way down to the girls behind the lunch counter! Love playing here!
Blue Rock East Course
Course plays fair and fairways are wide open to use the driver much as much as possible. Golfers play at a good pace typically and tee prices Reasonable.
Golfing the east side
We had a great time out there , the wind wasn't bad because we teed off in the afternoon the fairways were nice and the green were fast
Great course
The course was hilly but very enjoyable. It was well maintained and a good 18 hole round of golf.
Still public course
Had a great round, but in the end it is Vallejo. While on the 18th hole I was almost assaulted by some unclassy guys who obviously weren't gentleman of the game. It made a great day end terrible. It's too bad there isn't a better system manage people like this from getting on the course.
blue rock east...it does rock
this course has many attributes that will allow all skill levels to be challenged...the pro shop staff were friendly and helpful...i recommend this course to all of my friends and acquaintances...
Don't Expect a Level Lie
This is a review of the East Course.
The course is in fine shape. There are some dry spots in the fairways but that is to be expected these days. The greens are in great shape and roll true. There are plenty of elevation changes throughout the course to make golf interesting. There are a few forced carries but nothing extreme. And there are some blind shots to greens. All made for a great day of golf.
Blue Rock Springs -- East Course
This is a good course for the average player. It is not too long or too short. Has some difficult holes, but only enough to challange, and not beat you up. Par 3's are all reachable for the average player. Course is in good shape, but pace was a little slow. But the price is right for a weekend round of golf.
Bang for your bucks
We were a foursome riders started at 730 and finished few mins over 4 hrs . Overall the greens were in good condition though in some holes are bumpy and uneven. But for $36 on GN it's the best value in the bay area ..
A mistake
Threadbare teeboxes, which have collapsed because they were built incorrectly, patinas of sand over black clay in the bunkers, no refreshment cart person, patchwork and unmown greens - I wouldn't play Blue Rock East again for free.
Beat the heat!
This course was a nice surprise and a nice break from the Stockton/Lodi heat. Was about an hours drive but 15-18 degrees cooler and well worth it. The course is green and in overall good condition. Greens were quick and seemed a bit tricky but that could just be me.
No complaints... Staff very nice, facilities were clean and my friend enjoyed her sandwich from the Rock Cafe. We plan to go back and experience the east course.
