Blue Rock Springs Golf Course - East

Considering all of the recent rain, the course was in good shape especially the greens. The fairways were a little soggy and I lost a few balls in the rough because they went "underground." The gentlemen I was grouped with were good guys and contributed to a pleasant day of golf in December.

second time playing here. the pin placement was outrageous. putted the ball on the 9th hole 3 times, stopping the ball inches from the hole each time and the ball rolled back down hill 8 feet. I putted the ball the 4th time above the hole and it rolled down hill again but this time went into the hole. the 9th hole was not the only hole like this.

Course is well maintained and challenging enough to keep you interested without being impossible. Pace was a little slow due to the foursomes in front of us but the scenery was nice and there are some great views from the tops of the hills.

Good condition. No drought. Nice staff. Would play again.

The course was in good shape, the only issue was that the greens were very bumpy and had not been rolled that morning. The course experience was otherwise very good and aside from the greens in excellent condition.

Our experience was ok. Driving range was antiquity. Was extremely dissapointed when we arrived for checking to find out that I could have booked on their web-site for 37 dollars per player instead of the 47 dollars per player on GOLF NOW. Then we discovered that the airification had been done two weeks prior to our play, which normally is done this time of year. ( I worked on the maintenance crew for 7 years at another course.) Then when we started to play the first hole WE discovered that the greens had not been mowed, none of the greens had been mowed. So when we finished playing I spoke with the GM he told that the Superintendent might have been short hand, told him I didn`t believe that was the case, because they had one of the workers mowing fairways. Very disappointing day for all.

Pace of play was terrible. 5-5-somes in front of a 2-some and the marshal refused to say anything to the slower than molasses groups in front of us. I will play other local courses if they are the same price instead of this one. The greens are in so so shape, the sand bunkers are all like dried cement.

All in all - a great day. 7:30 tee time meant no one ahead of us on the course. Great weather. I Love the East course. Challenging layout with some fun holes. Will definitely be back whenever I can manage it. Only downside was aerated greens still not quite back to normal. Still, just gave me an excuse for missing some 10 footers!

The greens were aerated, but it was posted online and on Golfnow. The fairways and greens were in really good shape, paid $31.00 and play moved along well. It's not really a walkable course if you haven't been there...

I had a FANTASTIC cheeseburger and fries afterward.

Blue Rock Springs is always an enjoyable round, but last weekend we suffered through what became a 51/2 -6 hour round. I love the fact that the special for October is only $36, but everyone seems to enjoy that rate as well. They REALLY need to spread out the start times.

The east course is hilly, and has great views. The elevated greens can sometimes be challenging to read.
My favorite hole: #16- PAR 3, surrounded by the blue rock and native plants.

Great value. Greens in excellant condition. Fun, fair, but not forgiving.

Liked the course very much. The par 3's weren't long.. that's good.

Blue Rock Springs East is in great shape! Pace of play was excellent.
Greens are very true.

Played mid-day on a beautiful Saturday for $36. Course was pretty much wide open on the front 9 (East Course). Greens were in good condition, course was in good condition. Really couldn't beat the experience for the price. Both the West and East courses wrap around the valley/hills. You get some side-hill lies, some significant elevation changes, and some unique and challenging holes. Only complaint with this course is it's a bit short but I could see how it would play more challenging with some wind coming off the bay. Overall a good round and excellent price - would recommend to others.

I would recommend this course to anyone, even in drought conditions the course played well with very little dry areas (except on high mounds).
I also like the fact that they offer monthly specials as a way to attract golfers; too many courses would never consider doing this and it's too bad. The game is expensive so give seniors a chance to play more often and in the long run the course will benefit from the policy

If you walk, be prepared for a lot of exercise on the
hilly terrain and between holes as well!

The conditions of blue rock east were exceptional.... Pace of play was excellent..
