Eighteen Hole at Van Nuys Golf Course
About
Located just south of the airport, Van Nuys Golf Course has a unique location that provides an air show with anything from WWII Warbirds to F16 Falcons. It can be loud occasionally, but it's also one of the most affordable rounds in the area. There are two golf courses available, an 18-hole par-3 course and a nine-hole executive course. Neither of the courses are terribly formidable, but it's a great spot for getting in some practice. It's ideal for beginners but golf enthusiasts of any skill level will appreciate that the facility stays open late and both golf courses and the driving range are equipped with lights. The Van Nuys par-3 course offers good short game practice. There are a few bunkers and some strategically placed palm trees, but it's a very user-friendly golf course overall. It's even gentle enough for juniors.

Executive 9 hole with 3 par 4's holes for your drives
I'm trying to play as often as I can here. It looks like the weekdays is the best because It's always pretty busy during weekends.
The course is only 10 min drive from where I live, so that makes it perfect and convenient too :-)
If you want to practice your 3 par holes, this is a great course
I love this neighborhood course. They got 1 executive course with 9 holes and 3 par 4 holes. I played the 18 par 3 today and did not do very well, but it's a great course. Most holes around 90 to +120 yards. The greens are nice and the staff super friendly :-)
Well maintained and perfect for rookies
Grass freshly cut and the course was brush free and clean. Perfect course for rookies or pros for a enjoyable day.
Filthy and disgusting. Beer bottles and caps on the course. Jets constantly flying overhead. Thought I would get a round in with my sons but was repulsed.
Exec 9-Holer
I usually play the 3-par course here, but sometimes its nice to swing the big clubs. Both courses give you great bang for your buck. Greens are fairly well kept and can be very deceiving. Rarely will you have somebody rushing you. Its usually a very casual pace. I always enjoy golfing here. It would be helpful if they put up signs pointing to the next tee.
Windy day so hardly anybody there. Course condition was good. Helpful staff. Surprised a 3 par course had no sand.
Pleasant Surprise
This is a good course to practice your skills yet challenging enough to keep you engaged while having fun.
Nice course in the neighborhood
I like to go here to get some drives inn. It has 9 holes with 3 holes at par 4's (about 270yards) It can get crowded during weekend, so be aware!
Good value and course, but slow play
We booked a tee time but apparently that’s not required, they do walk up first come first serve, even on the executive course. Course played fairly well. They do have mats to tee off from rather than grass, so keep that in mind.
The main problem was the pace. This is somewhat expected on a walk up course, but it was worse that day than normal. It took 3 hours to play a short and simple 9 hole course. Not sure if we were just unlucky with a bad group way out in front but it was very bad compared to other par threes and executives I have played.
That being said I would give it another chance for a decent impromptu round.
We had a great time...even in all of the wind that blew Saturday.
It looks like the weekend is a NO GO these days!
I like the course and the staff is great! I have never seen it as full as today and there was just to much waiting around! After the 9th hole...we had to end the game. If it continues like this in the weekend...we will have to go only on a weekday if we get time....
