Quick nine
This was my first time in Napa Valley. I was looking to squeeze nine holes in late in the day. GolfNow had a great rate at 2:50 in the afternoon. I called the course before booking to see if my wife could ride along. The pro shop said sure no problem. He told me they had a regular league starting at 3:00. I arrived at the course at 2:20. The pro shop let me start when I was ready. I played alone. I was behind a threesome. They moved along pretty well. I waited a little but not to bad. The course has a few rough spots on the fairways and tees but playable. The greens putted okay, they had a lot of hallmarks I repaired what I could. The course had plenty of length. All in all it was a fun round. The wife was happy too. We finished in time for Happy Hour.
condition problems
I have played this course many times and have enjoyed the course layout. Also a great course to walk.
Unfortunately, it condition is getting worse, lots of crab grass, burned out fairways and some kind of fungus has attacked the greens.
Beautiful course in wine country
Beautiful course in wine country. We played at 11:30 pace of play was nice as it was not crowded on a Tuesday. Greens were slightly fast but in good shape. My-father-in law had a fantastic time and since they are moving there soon he will now have a wonderful course to play
A wonderful walking course
This course is a wonderful walking course. My friend and I drove up from the bay area for a practice round and lunch We found the staff to be friendly, the course to be challenging but fun, and topped it off with a hearty lunch.
Will definitely return to play golf here.
Great course
After the heavy rains this winter, Vintners golf Course is in great shape! It was cart path only this week but the course is drying out well! Always a great course to play!
beautiful views
I am a Napa Valley resident and play here monthly. The course is perfect for walking and has some challenging shots.
Nice 9 hole course
Course was in good shape except for the greens, lots of people are not fixing their ball marks and so there are lots of them on the greens. The rest of the course was in great shape, but needed to be mowed soon.
jrugg
The 9 hole course was perfect for a beginning/ intermediate player. Very friendly and helpful staff members. I would play here again and recommend the course.
Nvr adventures
Wonderful staff and friendly folks to play with. Course looks great and always well maintained
A good walk, Not spoiled.
Vintner's Golf course is a wonderful relaxing walk on a Sunday afternoon. Don't let the 9 holes fool you. you can use every club in your bag.
good for seniors
always enjoy playing this course. My friend and I in our late 70's walked it in 2 hours without any delays. Did pair up with a single in a cart.
Wish the online fees for signup were around 4 or 5 dollars vs 7.-
Play once a week here.
Always a great course to work on your game, and around the vineyards, too.
Great walking course
Great walking course for fast 9 holes or (fast) 18 holes. Even with the drought (in CA), the tee boxes were decent and majority of the fairways were in above average condition.
Great Little 9 Hold Course
Great little 9 hole with one par 5 and a mixture of par 3s and 4s. Good condition for a public course and usually quite quiet so easy to get on. I recommend to all my friends.
Ball mark nightmare
Does anyone fix ball marks anymore after a trip to The Vintners course in Yountville, CA I was shocked to see the greens riddled in ball marks. I thought to myself because the course is next to the Veterans Home maybe the gentlemen that fought for our freedom were having a hard time bending over to repair their ball marks. I try to get out to play 4 or 5 times a week and run into this problem everywhere I play. there is nothing worse then missing a putt because it hit someone else's ball mark all it takes is a simply tee to fix your own. If there isn't a group behind me I try to fix as many as I can without holding up play try it next time you are out. Thanks Your Fellow Golfing Friend
So glad to hear that I am not the only person in this world doing this. AND JUST A WORD OR TWO FOR THE GOLFING WORLD AT LARGE LEARN HOW TO PICK YOUR FEET UP WHEN WALKING ON GREENS SOFT SPIKES COST ME STROKES EVERY TIME I PLAY. Thanks again Stanaconda
