Great Little 9 Hold Course
Great little 9 hole with one par 5 and a mixture of par 3s and 4s. Good condition for a public course and usually quite quiet so easy to get on. I recommend to all my friends.
Ball mark nightmare
Does anyone fix ball marks anymore after a trip to The Vintners course in Yountville, CA I was shocked to see the greens riddled in ball marks. I thought to myself because the course is next to the Veterans Home maybe the gentlemen that fought for our freedom were having a hard time bending over to repair their ball marks. I try to get out to play 4 or 5 times a week and run into this problem everywhere I play. there is nothing worse then missing a putt because it hit someone else's ball mark all it takes is a simply tee to fix your own. If there isn't a group behind me I try to fix as many as I can without holding up play try it next time you are out. Thanks Your Fellow Golfing Friend
very nice views
very nice,i would play it over and over, beautiful views and local
problem bunker
The course was in good shape for all the rain last week. The bunker was the only problems. Some was full of water. Lost one ball in a fifth hole bunker, the ball just make it in and still could't find it.
What's with the 5 player groups??
I enjoy this course very much. Really get to work my irons. The course is also set up for a nice pace of play. However, the last 2 or 3 times I've played Vintners we have been stuck behind a group of 5 players and the pace has been extremely slow. Was barely able to get in 18 as it took us 2.5 hrs to play the first 9 holes. Luckily the group finished and we were able to play the second 9 in 1.5 hrs.
grounds in poor condition
The fairways and greens are very poorly maintained. Dry patches everywhere.
Perfect in wine country
Love this course. Well cared for 9 holes and friendly players.
Yountville golf
The price we paid to play was great. $5/person, but the course is not in very good shape. The regular rate to play 9 or 18 holes is way to high. Food and beer are very good.
LOUIS A BERRY, MASTERCHIEF USN RETIRED
THIS COURSE IS IN GREAT SHAPE. IT'S FUN TO PLAY AND CHALLENGING. I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND IT TO ANY PLAYER.
Great course
I like this course because it's a good warm up round if you haven't played in a while and plan to play somewhere more difficult.
My favorite for a quick walking 9 holes
I come here often. The GolfNow deal is very inexpensive, and while the pro shop could be friendlier, and the course is sometimes slow, I usually walk the 9 holes within 2 hours. The conditions vary, but this year the better greens keep me coming back. The bar has lots of screens for sports and friendly service. The course has some challenging holes and also has a decent putting green and driving range. I'll be back.
Great 9 hole
Decided to add in some golf to a wedding weekend I had on the books. This course was perfect to get out play a quick nine holes and enjoy your day. There was a men's tournament that ran late pushing our tee time back 30-40 minutes, but the staff was overly friendly and accommodating which helped ease the wait! Would absolutely recommend this nine hole course if you're looking to enjoy a little golf, but not spoil an entire day golfing!
Vintners continues to improve
Fourth time playing Vintners and the course was in good shape, greens were a little soft, but for the money, Vintners is an exceptional value. The maintenance has added landscaping and the putting green is in great shape. Overall, I enjoy playing the course, especially with friends that have not played much or are beginners.
Afterwards, I would recommend Rutherford Grill for dinner with no corkage fee for any bottle of wine.
good course, bad rate of play.
Course was nice for only being 9 holes. Rate of play was very slow. Groups of 6 walking , some holes literally had a 45min wait. Outrageous.
Vintners
Lovely course, 9 holes played twice for 18, very nice restaurant/bar. I thought I had signed us up for 18 holes, but the reservation wasn't clear about that. When we rounded 9 to head to 10 the pro came out and told us we had only paid for 9. He said we didn't have to pay then, but please stop by to do so when finished. After 18 we came by to pay and he said thanks for your honesty and coming right in - just forget about the extra payment. Had I played better it would have therefore been an even better day!
Great 9 hole for Sunday afternoon
For a nine hole course, you can't beat this beautiful layout in the Napa wine country. Nicely maintained, and gorgeous swans in the multiple lakes!
Beautiful setting.
I only played 9 holes. It took 21/2 hours. Course gets a lot of play. Some of the greens were recently sanded others not which caused consistently on the greens difficult. Other than that it's in a beautiful setting and the people I played with were quite friendly.
Great intermediate coarse
Only thing I don't like about this coase is that all the flags are white and not colored. You can't tell if the pin placement is in front middle or back of the green.
One of the best 9-hole coourses around
Though this course receives a great deal of play, the maintenance staff, greens keepers and managers do a great job in keeping this course in great shape. Both the fairways and greens were well taken care of in spite of the lack of rain. We found the pace of play was very relaxed and unlike other courses, player are started as they arrive without the customary ten-minute wait between groups. Overall, it was a very rewarding outing and memorable course that we will play often in the future.
Local 9 hole course
The staff consistently exhibits the casual affront to those seeking value.
So glad to hear that I am not the only person in this world doing this. AND JUST A WORD OR TWO FOR THE GOLFING WORLD AT LARGE LEARN HOW TO PICK YOUR FEET UP WHEN WALKING ON GREENS SOFT SPIKES COST ME STROKES EVERY TIME I PLAY. Thanks again Stanaconda
