Beautiful location, friendly staff, Domain Chandon across the street!
We happened to book a tee time on a tournament day, that's the only reason it took so long, but the staff was more than accommodating!
This course has a mat and a grass practice range which I highly recommend on its own.
The course has a few spots that are a bit thin & dry, not unusual for Cali, but the greens were in fairly good shape.
We love this course & plan to make it a regular stop in the future. A favorite for us is to swing by Domaine Chandon after 18 holes, such a treat! My suggestion for those not interested in the bubbly, a nice breakfast on the patio before playing at Vintners bar, good food that is sure to satisfy.
Course is in good shape and the play was fast.
The only criticism I have is the sand traps need some help.
A very good 9 hole course with some challenges.
I have always enjoyed playing this course for a quick nine hole round. The fairways are somewhat tight with water hazards on half the holes. Unfortunately the greens had been sanded and aerated this time making the putting rather difficult. Also, lots of goose droppings on greens which added to the intrigue!
great greens.
Vintners is a good course for beginning golfers or someone just wanting to work on their game. It also is a confidence booster. The greens I believe are bentgrass and they keep them in very good shape. I was a little disappointed in the fairways though. Way too many "daiseys" out there. White balls can disappear.
Overall a nice walk in the park. I was a little disappointed in the guy in the proshop who would not let us go a little early even though the tee was empty for quite a while.
friendly course
the greens need some extra care on the divot front. I realize its the golfer who needs to be reminded to repair them but extra tending would help
Nice course with great views
Very nice course with lots of nice views and challenging holes.
nice little course, great scenery
nice little 9 hole with some simple and fun holes. would recommend walking. you wont be walking for long at vintners.
Great walking course
For about the same price as most wineries in Napa Valley charge to sip a few wines, I suggest all wine country visitors give this 9-hole gem a personal taste of their hooks, slices, tops, shanks and skulls. Its a great course to walk and the staff is friendly and professional.
Seriously though, this is great little tract surrounded by vines and less than a mile from some of the finest restaurants in the world (I'll give my review of the French Laundry on another site). It won't break the bank and offers golfers of all ages and skill levels a chance to use more than a few clubs in the bag. Save about a $100 on your Yountville lunch tab and try the cheeseburger on the outdoor deck .
It is a relatively short course with many challeging features
The par three water hole scares most average golfers. The first hole leads to many lost balls if one cannot carry a second shot to the green. Another par three has two large sand trap magnets that require good distance control. It is fun for golfers of all abilities.
Good course. Moderately challenging and in good condition.

great course for any money!
Great course for any value. The greens are always nice and with multible tees these nine hole can play vary different. One of the best nine hole courses in the bay area!
This course has a great layout with nice views of the Napa Valley

Great for a 9 hole setup
I was torn between rating this course a 3 or 4, and eventually decided that as a 9 hole venue it is superior to its peer 9 hole courses. Practice facilities are good, the restaurant is great, and the course provides some challenges if played from the blacks. I love Vintner's and have played it since it opened, but I do consider it a tune-up course or an aftternoon "laid back" golf destination. If you are looking for a challenge and top-notch conditions then play Eagle Vines or Silverado.
Great value in the Napa Valley. friendly staff.
A great Sunday afternoon 9-er. The wife sits on the patio reads and sips and then it's out to a fabulous restaurant in Napa Valley. A easy, flat walk, with water, tight par threes. Sometimes a wedding stops you with # 9 the altar.
Always rewarding
My score does not reflect how much I enjoy this course. it has its challenges and rewards. And most of the condition issues of years past have been addressed.
