Got a tremendous rate… why??? Punched course! It was still fun and playable even though not perfect!

We have played Heritage Landing, and Webb reserve, both Lennar courses. I much prefer the other two over WellenPark. The greens were fine however there were a lot of rough spots in the fairway. I won’t complain as we got a decent price on Golf Now, however, I will choose a different course over this one. The layout is just so so. Nothing exciting and no holes that stand out. It was very warm as we expect as it is summer however, there are no trees or shade. If the heat bothers you, I wouldn’t recommend this course.The staff was friendly, however there are no amenities to speak of. They did mention the snack bar at the turn, but we were looking for more of a nice sit down for a drink and lunch.

I have played Wellen Park numerous times over the past two years. I have never seen the course conditions this poor before. I know they just punched the greens recently and that was not the issue. the fairways were completely scalped. i don't know why but the fairway conditions were poor. That said, it was better than other courses i have played in better condition.

Played this course for the first time yesterday and some of the holes are well-built, though others are extreme dog-legs. It seems they may have designed the course like this because of a lack of space or just poor design of where they could put tee boxes. Conditions were poor, but that’s to be expected with the drought Florida has had and being the time of year for major course maintenance. Staff was very friendly, but one issue we had is we felt rushed, even though we were waiting on every tee for the group to clear the fairway ahead on every hole. A ranger told us we had to pick up the pace, even though a rainstorm stopped play for 10 mins prior on the holes ahead and behind us. Several times throughout the round a ranger was patrolling, which is usually something you hope for, but really seemed excessive here. Really feels like they want to be a higher standard then what their course has to offer, but in the mean-time it seems that they want your money and for you to leave as soon as you can. I would recommend trying other courses in the area, there are several far better options in SWFL, if you’re looking to have a memorable round this is not the place.

1. Was never told greens were plugged.

2.Worker front of15 green with earphones on oblivious to us approaching. Could not hit from fairway to green due to possibility of striking worker. Could not warn him or yell fore due to the earphones so ended up trying to hit away from him and ruined the match we were playing.

Not at all what I expected at this course.

At the moment I could not recommend this course due to condition AND layout. As the course seasons it should improve. Unfortunately that doesn’t change the layout.

The staff was genuinely kind and professional putting them in the top 10%.

The course had a nice layout and we were on the course by our self’s the whole round. We got paired with a single and he turned out to be a great guy. The course was in rough shape with the aeration, burnt fairways, and what seemed to be a bad cut job around all the greens. Despite all of this, we enjoyed the course and the price was appropriate for the course condition. The one thing that kept us from having a good experience was the hawking ranger that kept driving up to us from different directions to keep a close eye on us. Not sure why he felt the need to be watching us the whole round without saying anything and finishing the 18 holes in 3 hours 45 min.

It was a little frustrating having him following us and not saying anything!

Very well maintained beautiful looking course. Highly recommend!

Can’t say anything about pace of play as I was the first on the tee box playing solo finished in 2.5 hours

Great course. The staff is top notch and even clean your clubs for you lol. The course is beautifully manicured. The course of play is great I just happened to have a pushy 2 party to our four that kind of pressured us. The cart girl aka mobile bar wasn't as accessible as an alcoholic would like but their none the less lol. Main problem with course is the opposing tee boxes that left a couple incidents of other balls coming into your course around the bend that could be dangerous but luckily wasn't. Tiki bar was great and overall will be back

This is a nice course which is not available to outside play from January to April. I would never turn down around at this course.

My husband and I love playing Wellen Park. The layout is challenging and enjoyable to play. Thrilled that it opened to the public on May 1. It saddens us when they go private during snowbird season

Course was an excellent shape. The pace of play was good.
