Wellen Park Golf & Country Club

Wellen is a great place for high handicappers, firm fairways lots of role. Staff are fantastic , Kelly is amazing, Starter Tom from Macomb big thx! All staff are friendly, welcoming! From top to bottom never been treated better anywhere at every turn. Met Bill, David, always had a great experience meeting players here.

Once this course is fully operational I’m curious how what I feel are design issues will affect pace of play and some safety here. When you look at all the land in the Wellen project having tee boxes like #6 &11, a driving range downwind hitting into #9 tees, just don’t make sense to me.

And #16 is a design afterthought unsafe imo and guaranteed to slow play.

I hear they’re redesigning Sarasota Natl built by the same designer as Wellen, why wait, do it now while you still have options.

a qroup of 2 4 somes were slow due to there game they had going.so instead of reddy golf waiting for the second group cught up so they compair scores .due to no place yet to hang out who knows when the club house opens if they will us it. jack powet

Played Wellen Park last Saturday in mid afternoon until 6 pm. Can still tell it is a newer course but fairways better than where I usually play in Rotunda for a higher price. Would love to play when the wind is not gusting up to 30 mph. Definitely will play again if I can play for this price.

Course opened a year ago.

Played it shortly after it opened. Pristine.

Now, after much play, as expected the fairways are a little “bruised “.

Still, good conditions, fast greens.

Excellent practice area with complimentary balls.

With much construction going on, we were told once the memberships grow with the new residents the course will, at some point, not be open to the public

Played this course for the 2nd time and it was a fun round of golf. The course is challenging but fair and it's 5 sets of tees allows golfers of every skill level an opportunity to play the course. Well worth the money and hope to play it again before I head back north.

It rained the entire round so it was miserable, however, on a positive note--the drainage was very good

The course conditions were excellent. The greens rolled fast and true. Being a new course, there was no bare spots in the fairway. Since the course was designed to fit around the housing development, it has some very quirky holes.
