Pace of Play is to slow
Staff is very friendly. Pace of Play is with 5:30 hours in the morning realy slow.
Course is nothing exeptional and for 99 Dollar overpriced
A fun course. Best greens in area.
Played early AM, our tee time was 7:45 and we didn’t go off until 7:55. It certainly gets a lot of play, they are certainly organized and try to keep folks moving. We got our round in 4:15 but there were plenty of hit and wait moments. They have tee times spaced at 7 minutes which is just too close. The course is fairly wide open so most errant shots can be still found and played without a penalty.
Greens were fantastic the sand in traps was mica sand so it was easy to get out of them.
Staff couldn’t have been nicer which offset any other issues.
new layout but needs some work to improve
slow pace of play. observed duffers playing off long tees when they could barely hit past tees. no visible distance marked at 150 yards(some yards on irrigation fittings located randomly). pin flags are black which are impossible to see in many cases and rangefinders couldn’t pick them off. back to issue about distance marks! Gps hasn’t been provided for this course either
positives. greens, fairway and bunkers in good shape. nice wide open holes. cart lady and lunch man were nice.
overall this course has huge potential as a public facility. just needs some attention to make it a gem
Municipal or High end?
I played many courses all over world. This course suffers from bipolar syndrome. They cater too local people without tee times . Then try and be an exclusive entity . Their pace of play was abysmal. We played a six hour round. Too many Indians also working, telling us where and what to do ! It’s golf !! Snotty remarks from range personnel too , end of round club cleaners. The only person I can say that was nice was the cart girl!!
Get your act together people .
Good price, slow pace
I played a 5 hour round. Greens were in nice shape as well as the bunkers. Fairways were a bit dry but that’s to be expected this time of year. Good price and friendly staff. Pace was way off. Not sure why but maybe a ranger to help beginners skip along would help.
Last minute
Made time night before played with 3 strangers but friends now. Staff was good but felt like I was in a herd but had a really good time I’d go back in a pinch
Ruined a good thing
Used to play BJ every week prior to the total renovation. Now the course lacks any appeal to the eye and is just another flat course highly overpriced. The flags on the pins are black making them almost impossible to see from time to time. No mirrors or reflective tape on the pins making a range finder very difficult. Golf carts are gas powered and I heard they were bought instead of leased. The staff were friendly. Had to sign a sheet with all kinds of information need for the cart. Felt like I was in a TSA line. To many local courses for half the price to go back again.
Rly
Course was in very good condition with the greens in excellent shape . Staff was excellent helping as needed and very friendly from pro shop to range to bag boys. The only negative is it is pricey $99 for a muni public course. There are other public courses in the area with as good of layout, condition and better pricing.
Bobby Jones "Championship course"
Absolutely dreadful. Tee boxes and fairways are awful. Greens ok at best.
Layout is flat and boring
Corners cut everywhere. Cups not cut smoothly and inside edges not painted to hard to see on long putts.
Don't waste your money
Ehhh
Really nice practice facility. course is pretty basic. Everything is pretty straight on the front nine back nine adds a little more precision to it. Tee boxes are rock hard can barely put a tee in without breaking it. The front 9 is basically just straight fairways back 9. Add some water hazards which make it more enjoyable. Way over priced for a hundred dollars round.
GOOD COURSE
The course is busy but moves pretty well .
Course is in great shape , greens are fast .
Enjoyable but the $100 price tag ouch . Buffalo Creek was 40 minute drive & 1/2 the cost & just as good . I would play again but just once in a while .
Course is not worth the money!
This course has no character, and is in generally poor condition. If I'd of paid $40 for the round, and not $99, the review may of been better.
Hard and fast
All surfaces are firm but playable. Lots of roll in the fairways and on the greens. No ball marks to repair!
