Saddlebrook Resort - Cypress/Pine

Fantastic day at Saddlebrooke. Golf course in terrific shape throughout. Only issue, golf carts are deplorable.

Good layout, good conditions, fast pace of play. I’ll be back

50 degrees, sunny,,little to no wind but most golfers stayed home. I arrived 1.5 hours before my noon tee time. Every staff member was almost giddy to see me as few golfers had ventured out to that point. As mentioned earlier, the practice facilities are at the gate but you do have to go to the pro shop, leave your car with the valet, register, get a cart and then drive back to the practice facilities. Not a big deal. I asked and was allowed to tee off early so was by myself on a virtually empty course. 2.5 hour round. Course conditions were very good. I thought Palmer designed courses had large greens. Not here. Small, and undulating which led to too many 3 putts. A fun layout that with more familiarity, or gps on the carts, would have changed my club selection. A great value with the Golfnow rate, even with the drive required from Bradenton. If i lived closer I would golf there many times.

First time playing the Saddlebrook Palmer Course. Course conditions were very good. Pace on the day I played was excellent. Course layout is suitable for the average golfer, though the greens are consistently guarded (bunkers, etc.) and quite undulating. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and would look forward to playing the course again.

Played in the cold and wind which made for a tough round but was a lot of fun. Cold conditions scares away most the golfers so had the course to myself most the day. Several of the greens had patches but outside that the course was excellent. Will definitely go back.

some greens were in pretty rough shape , played at 4 different course in the area this week, this was by far in the worse condition, not worth the fees

Ok...I like this course! Tee to green course is in outstanding shape. HOWEVER on this day and for some unknown reason the pin placements were laughable, for example, we placed the ball beside the hole on number 10 and watched it roll 20 ft off the green. In total we counted 7 holes where they cut the pins on the green slopes so that if you missed the hoke it would roll at least 6 ft from the hole...felt like a mini-putt course, hence the title of my review; shame on the course for their choice of pin placements...

We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Staff was great. Course was in excellent condition and the layout was interesting and fun. Definitely will be back. Highly recommended.
