Peacock Gap Golf Club
About
Peacock Gap Golf Club extends along the shores of San Pablo Bay, but it sits inland enough to avoid the fogginess of the coast and enjoy consistently sunny weather throughout the year. The course's layout has undergone many renovations over the years that have brought it to its current playability, including a new drainage system, new tee boxes, a reshaping of five of the greens, and relocation of bunkers. The golf course kept the classic features of its original layout though, such as the inviting fairways that still provide a challenge and the tricky greens that deceptively extend past where the player thinks they end. In addition to the course, Peacock Gap has also improved their practice facilities over the years. There is an all-grass driving range, two large practice greens, and a chipping green.

Nice affordable high quality course
Great facility with all one needs for an excellent experience
Best to avoid if you can
This used to be my home course. But lately they are packing them so tight that half the round is spent waiting.
I now try to go anywhere else if I can.
If they would make the groups every 10 min it would change it immensely.
Worth the drive
First time heading up to PG from the city, found it in good condition and played a fast round on a Thursday afternoon with a few other singles. Greens had been heavily watered and were running a little slow but in very good condition.
Invest in the golf course
I'm so happy that you are making money - driving range sales are triple pre-covid levels and the course has never been busier.
While we understand that revenue from the restaurant is down, please invest in the golf course. Weeds in the bunkers, barren stretches of dirt in the fairways, and overall maintenance should be ramped up to keep the course conditions decent.
Great course a little slow
I love the layout of the course for a casual round. Distance isn’t too long from the blue men’s tees and the hole design and pins make for a fun round. Fairways are well cut. A little dry in a few areas but overall really great condition. Pace of play was slow for me and my partner walking.
OK but not inspired to go back soon
I thought this course has some very nice things and some not so nice things. Course itself is in pretty good shape, interesting layout, relatively flat so easily walked and longish. Greens had been recently sanded so were slow but in good shape. Bunkers had real sand. Fairways good. Rough in some areas but in general hard to lose a ball. The two gentleman we played with were very nice and enjoyable company.
What I didn't like: limited range space - people who use it don't know how to practice on grass so they were super chewed up, thought the general atmosphere was "we're all really rich and have nice cars" so a little snotty. $14 for a medium bucket of range balls seems VERY high. You have to carry clubs in as no carts in the parking lot which I understand but don't like...Would play there again as long as I can find a tee time for less then $40. Didn't buy food or drink so no comment there.
Nice layout
Course is playing long and very challenging with amazing views.
Acceptable Round
Considering how full the course was, the pace of play was decent. Greens were in good shape, though recently sanded (so a bit slow). Windy, but nice weather. Acceptable round overall.
