About
Peacock Gap Golf Club extends along the shores of San Pablo Bay, but it sits inland enough to avoid the fogginess of the coast and enjoy consistently sunny weather throughout the year. The course's layout has undergone many renovations over the years that have brought it to its current playability, including a new drainage system, new tee boxes, a reshaping of five of the greens, and relocation of bunkers. The golf course kept the classic features of its original layout though, such as the inviting fairways that still provide a challenge and the tricky greens that deceptively extend past where the player thinks they end. In addition to the course, Peacock Gap has also improved their practice facilities over the years. There is an all-grass driving range, two large practice greens, and a chipping green.

Although I've played this course several times, it'll be a loooooooong time before I come back.
1. Can't take the carts into the parking lot to load your golf gear. Either carry everything to the cart, or park the cart near the parking lot and carry everything to the cart.
2.Pace of play-4somes do not let singles play through, AND they make up the mind of the players in front of them to not let singles play through. And if you say something to them, they will makeup any excuse to NOT let a single play through. Bad enough to have to wait, unbearable when you're forced to watch BAD GOLF as well.

Fairways were kind of rough.
Few tee boxes had a lot of crab grass.
Painfully slow
Left after 13 holes because it was so slow. Waited on every hole and no apparent attempt to speed up pace of play.
Used to be high quality, now just meh
Fairways are not cut tight. Greens were very slow. This used to be a high quality well kept public course. Now it’s an over watered under manicured muni. Not worth top dollar.
Wonderful course in San Rafael
Nicely maintained course. Evenly rolling greens. Fair yet challenging with bunkers placed around the greens…
Peacock pace
Terrible pace of play for such a good course. Mind the wind all the time. They can choose a better time to host high school girls competitions than midday
Best muni in the Bay Area
Best public course in the Bay Area. Always great greens and fairways are well kept. Pace of place has never been a problem.
Rapid Play, course in good shape
Played on Saturday morning at 6:40AM, first 9 holes done in 2 hours, slowed a bit for the back nine. Course in good shape, pin positions on greens were challenging, accuracy and not distance counts on this course.
Hidden Gem
The maintenance at discourse is impeccable for it being public. Keep up the good work.
