About
Peacock Gap Golf Club extends along the shores of San Pablo Bay, but it sits inland enough to avoid the fogginess of the coast and enjoy consistently sunny weather throughout the year. The course's layout has undergone many renovations over the years that have brought it to its current playability, including a new drainage system, new tee boxes, a reshaping of five of the greens, and relocation of bunkers. The golf course kept the classic features of its original layout though, such as the inviting fairways that still provide a challenge and the tricky greens that deceptively extend past where the player thinks they end. In addition to the course, Peacock Gap has also improved their practice facilities over the years. There is an all-grass driving range, two large practice greens, and a chipping green.

Fair Course Bad Carts
We teed off at 7:30 in the morning. It was cold but the course was in average condition.
The carts don't work well. On multiple holes, I had to drive backwards cause the GPS thought I was in a hazard despite being on the cart path. Very disappointing that they can fix it by removing some of the restrictions.
The tee boxes were in average condition.
The fairways were in good condition as they are maintained.
The greens were in good condition. They rolled at an 8 and fairly true.

Fun golf course
Enforce the pace of play. Marshall was useless. Get your **** together Peacock Gap. Nobody fixes divots. Other than that, greens were quick. Typical muni tee boxes and fairways. Fun lay out. Played the back tees. Lots of driver and wedges.
Fun but really slow pace
Had a fun time playing this course for the first time. Overall layout if nice and the greens play very fair. The conditions were nice but the pace of play was extremely slow. Still finished 18 holes in about 5 hours after the group on front let us play through. I would recommend this to any golfer that wants to play a course on the bay area
Although I've played this course several times, it'll be a loooooooong time before I come back.
1. Can't take the carts into the parking lot to load your golf gear. Either carry everything to the cart, or park the cart near the parking lot and carry everything to the cart.
2.Pace of play-4somes do not let singles play through, AND they make up the mind of the players in front of them to not let singles play through. And if you say something to them, they will makeup any excuse to NOT let a single play through. Bad enough to have to wait, unbearable when you're forced to watch BAD GOLF as well.

Few tee boxes had a lot of crab grass.
Painfully slow
Left after 13 holes because it was so slow. Waited on every hole and no apparent attempt to speed up pace of play.
Used to be high quality, now just meh
Fairways are not cut tight. Greens were very slow. This used to be a high quality well kept public course. Now it’s an over watered under manicured muni. Not worth top dollar.
Wonderful course in San Rafael
Nicely maintained course. Evenly rolling greens. Fair yet challenging with bunkers placed around the greens…
