Truly one of the worst-conditioned courses I've ever played.
I'm tempted to give the course 2 stars because I've had nothing but positive experiences with the staff and the people I've been paired with here. But this course is flat-out awful. About half of the tee boxes are bare dirt, and the fairways are extremely patchy--also a lot of bare dirt spots. The rough is the same, only a bit more long and bare. The sand traps are really just dirt/mud pits, and the green are in atrocious shape--lots of dead spots so that it's impossible to get anything approaching a true roll.
All of this is a shame, because this could actually be a challenging little course. It's not long, but it does demand accuracy because there's very little distance between edge of the fairway and just dead because the woods are so thick that if you go in them you're not finding your ball. And there are a couple of holes that are long enough that they require you to hit driver, no matter how uncomfortably tight they are.
Anyway, all of this is basically moot for me, because I'll never bother with this place again.
Quick round
This course is not overly difficult; it's short and kind of tight, but not many places to get into touch trouble. I teed off at 8:08 on a Saturday, and was in my car by 10:00 after playing 18 alone in a cart. Greens were very flat, and somewhat slow, so there weren't any 3-putts (but quite a few long putts that dropped!!!). Had to rent clubs, and the set was not the best, but it was an excellent value!
Bad Greens and needs sone renovations
Tee boxes ok, Fairway ok and greens and sand traps need lots of work. Over all a good value for the money.
This course is very challenging
This was my first time playing this course and I had heard it was pretty difficult. Boy did it live up to it's reputation! Many fairways were tight and heavily guarded with treelines. The course is also very long. Several par 4s could easily be par 5s. Some greens were in need of attention but overall the course was in decent condition. Except for the green side bunkers which have no sand but good old Georgia clay in them. Bunkers were muddy due to recent rain.
Bad course and worse customer service
All bad. Sprinklers going at noon on the greens, weeds on the fairways, bald spots on the fairways, unfriendly customer service by the starter, confusing routes from hole to hole, no signs, etc. avoid this course at all costs
Nice course but needs to cut down
The rough was way too thick and the fairways are thick also needs to be mowed. And the greens are not smooth. Lots of bumps on most of the greens.needs aeration.
This course is user friendly
Course is very user friendly and we had a great time! Staff is courteous and helpful.
Play this course.
Number one takeaway from this course:
Great value.
Give this place a shot. The staff at this course is doing a great job improving it. They are also really friendly.
The greens are hard, but they have been progressing over the past few weeks. The fairways could be better, but they are also showing improvement.
The course is challenging. If you usually play from the backs tees you may want to check up to the whites for your first round here.
Tucked away
Ive hit range balls here before but never played. The course is really narrow, so I drove "soft" all day. A couple of holes I probably could have played a long iron, thankfully I was hitting them straight. If you slice or hook pretty bad you'll be in for a long day.
The staff was SUPER cool, very friendly guys.
Pace of play was surprisingly decent for a Sat afternoon.
Cons: the score cards dont have each hole layout, so unless you play here often or study the hole markers at the tee box you'll have a bunch of "blind shots"
Also, the "greens" arent actually "greens" but spraypainted timothy/bermuda grass. Made putting a bit challenging.
not bad....coming along nicely
Very noticeable improved course conditions. Cut back foliage and weeds. Greens still need some time and care. Was pleasantly surprised grounds crew was taking care of course all day. Will play again.... new management doing right so far..
Nice course
I enjoyed the course hadn't played it a long time vast improvement from years back.
horrible greens
Course was not crowded. We were able to play at leisurely pace. Course was in fair condition with exception of the greens. No other way to say it except they were horrrible.
not worth what you save on price
course needs plenty of work traps a disaster cart paths were bad and need repair no signs to direct u . 5somes and 6 somes allowed on course .greens in good shape would not recommend course even for hot rate that we got. no grass on course
Tough course for low price
Tough course for low price. Not great conditions are to be expected at the beginning of march. But greens roll true. I almost played it 2 days in a row.
Cheap, but decent
My friend and I decided the best way to describe the course was: "What do you expect for 20 bucks?".
The greens are in pretty rough shape. The fairways are basically pastures with short grass. Most of the bunkers are a mixture of hard sand and clay.
The course layout is pretty tough. A lot of tight fairways.
I wouldn't play it again, but if you're looking for a quick cheap round, it's worth a shot.
this course has recommendable.
this course has recommendable.
this course nas not good drain water in the fairway.
Keep A Look-out
The course was pretty well maintained. However, I was terrified playing the course. I had been informed from a previous play a few days earlier that there were two wild and vicious pit bulls that have been trying to attack players. The previous day we played and informed staff at the facility he laughed it off, but we were told by staff yesterday that they would call animal control. Difficult to enjoy looking over my shoulder constantly.
