Good for the price
Grass in ruff is high and bunkers are muddy. Must hit fairway and greens.
Awful Shape. Should be same as Mystery Valley
The greens were a wreck. The grass overgrown. Drainage awful. Price should be no more than $12 with cart until condition of course improves. Save your money and play a different course. Will return after next year and give them another try.Hopefully it'll be improved by then.
Diamond in the rough
this course has potential...rough was very rough and greens were very spongy. Great layout along Sugar Creek.
Great value for the money
I played alone and took less than 3 hours. I thought this course is good place to practice. I will be back.
Rough day in the rough
Play this course if you want a real US open challenge from the rough. Good layout and some interesting holes but it is really poorly maintained even for a public facility. Fairways simply awful. Greens weren't too bad. Do not go if there have been numerous rains because most of the course is in a floodplain with pathetic drainage. Tight layout and good for those who rely on shotmaking instead of booming the ball.
Hard Course
This course was very challenging. the rough was PGA type it hadn't been cut in at least a week or two. Some of the fairways were vey tight and a lot of dog legs. The greens were a little rough but not all that bad. If you hit it good it would roll pretty strait. It has a brand ne clubhouse and golf carts and the course is very accessible. Good value for the money.
so ruff so tuff
The greens had divits
The ruff just two feet off the fairway made Marion look like a desert
Nice new clubhouse
Because i played early, the tees were not cut. The fairways were cut but they had a lot of grass clippings left on them. Other than that the course was in pretty good shape.
Needs attention.
Staff initially did not want to honor the golfnow rate. The course is in poor condition. Greens are a mess.
Great track ,Needs attention
I like the lay out of this course.I teed off after lunch and skipped one hole.My round took about two hours.Gotta love it .Course needs mowing on edges and greens are fading. Not bad for 16 dollars on Golf now!4
Course needs attention, especially the greens
Course was very poor which is interesting because they have a brand new club house. It looks like the owners care more about renting the club house than they do about the golfers. I read a review that warned me about the course but my buddy thought that it could not have gotten that bad in a year since he played but while playing it he totally agreed with the negative review. The fairways were not well kept and the greens were so bad that it was almost impossible to get a straight put. I recommend that everyone play at your own peril.
This course is in very bad shape.
I live in the area but haven't played this course in a few years, they have a new clubhouse and carts, they should have spent the money on the course. The tee boxes have a lot of bald spots, the fairway's are seedy with clumps of clover in the fairway so bad it will total cover your ball and you won't find it, too many clump's to sort through, green's are totally jacked up. The course has seen better day's now it's seeing real bad one's. I played this course on a "hot deal" $20 cart and green fees I could have spent a few dollars more and enjoyed my round somewhere much nicer.
