Very Good
Enjoyed playing this course. It’s a little out of the way from Sandy Springs but it’s worth the drive.
Well maintained fairways and tee boxes. Very good driving range and putting green. I particularly like the pace of play. Never felt rushed or waiting. Highly recommend!
Great layout, bad execution
Course was laid out nice but greens were extremely inconsistent and the rough was about 4” long Bermuda. Pace of play was absolutely ridiculous. Only got through 12 in 4.5 hours. Will not return!
3.5 hours to play 9 holes!!!!
Beware. They let an 8-some play together at 1:30pm on a Saturday with a backed up course. Starter said it wasn’t a big deal when several golfers complained. Course was in terrible shape. It’s embarrassing that golf now would sell tee times at this course. I wish I could get a refund for this crap.
Don’t spend the money
They let an 8-some go off at 1:30pm on a Saturday and didn’t break them up when several different golfers complained. It took 3.5 hours to go through just 9 holes! They didn’t let anyone go on the back even when 9 was clear. It took over 20 minutes to check out in the clubhouse. Definitely will not come back.
Excellent greens
The recent rain has given the course a much needed growth of greenery. The recently aerated greens are perfect, although somewhat slow. We played on a day following 3+ inches of rain, so it was cart path only. Several holes had mini-lakes of standing water but few actually affected any shots.
Great Shape
The course is in great shape and the greens are beautiful!! Salute to the entire staff
Course layout was pretty good but the pace of play was very slow and took us to play 4 holes in 65 minutes. We have to skip few holes to get done in 4 hours. Greens were aerated and have patches of weeds and died grass. I am not sure if I will play the course again, but may recommend them with reservations.
Very good golf value.
Course layout great. The negative of this course are the drainage system after any rain. The course has several soaked spots in several fairways and mud build up. Overall a great golf course and good value.
Hidden Gem
Sugar Creek really is a solid course in Panthersville. Layout is fun, the greens are in great shape, and it is surprisingly affordable for hat you get.
Clubhouse and amenities are lackluster, but it's great for what it is.
Great value for money
Really good value for the cost. Conditions were solid, but you can tell the course struggles with drainage so I wouldn’t go unless it’s been dry for a few days. Staff was friendly. The pace was good, finished in 4:15 on a Saturday afternoon. It’s not a super interesting layout or anything, but it’s a pretty piece of land and lots of wildlife (deer, hawks, etc).
Good value, fun course
Really enjoyed the woodsy 18 hole layout. Greens were immaculate, if not a bit slower than I’m used to. A good mix of tight driving holes that require precision and wide open ones where you can let it rip. Pace was a bit slow due to a group ahead of me not offering to let me play through. Not sure what that was all about. That being said, i walked 18 and carried my bag in a little over 4 hours. Great value for the price,
Thank you for recognizing the condition of our course and the hard work of our staff. We're thrilled you enjoyed your experience!
