Decent course
Played here for the first time. Some of the tee boxes and fairways need some work but overall this is a decent course. Most holes are shorter than normal but for the money it was a nice place to get a round in. With a little more landscaping it could be very nice, great scenery and potential for the course. Would like some water provided on the course as well.
Pointe South
Fairways and greens were in good condition, Some of the tee boxes need some attention, as some of them were more like hitting out of bunkers rather than tee boxes
Playing the course is enjoyable, They should put drinking water on the course!
Cool short layout
Not many long holes but tricky doglegs and it’s all tree lined. Greens some where as hard as concrete but most hard room for run up shots. No water on course so BYO.
Fun course to play.
I’m excited to see the direction that this course goes. It is under new ownership as of July of this year and it seems that the new owner is motivated to make some improvements.
Pulling up to a grand club house I was a little remised to see it sort of bare on the inside but this was definitely made up by the friendliness of the staff and the explanation that the course just changed hands.
I was very happy to be on a course that used electric carts as most courses in the area choose gas.
Greens are hit or miss. Some are really great and some are a little rundown. Fairways are all in pretty great shape across the 18. I loved the twists and the turns on the holes. It was enough to make 18 stay interesting and not lag. Really enjoyed the play on the greens. Medium speed which is what I prefer.
Recommendations for first timers. Definitely have a spotter or a very bright colored ball on the first hole as there are a lot of balls from the practice range flowing over. Bring some extra balls because placement is key at this course (which I loved)
Recommendations for the owner. Water stations around the course would be awesome.
Overall I loved the play of this course and will actually become a member of this club next month.
Work in progress
Course under new management and going in the right direction. They have the greens in great shape and are now working on the fairways which are not in good shape now. There are a couple of holes that are a bit quirky but play it once and you figure out how to play. Will try it again in a few weeks and see if he can turn the fairways around as fast as he did with the greens. Morning and afternoon staff were really nice.
Poorly maintained
T Boxes in horrible shape.
Fairways were mostly burnt on the front nine the back nine was in better shape.
Greens were decent.
Extremely short course but challenging nonetheless with long doglegs that require long irons.
Good Course Conditions
Course is in great condition from tee to green. Tee boxes had been punched but had no negative impact on teeing off. Fairways were thick and lush. I would rate the greens 8.5/10.
Course Improved A LOT
Last time I played this course, a little over a year ago, the greens were horrible. There was no grass on some greens. BUT, NOW ITS A COMPLETE 180 flip. The greens were amazing (8 or 9/10). Always a fun track. Not super long or tight, but very challenging. Huge bargain for the cost.
It was Hot
It was the hottest day of the year but the course was nice and cool in under trees. The greens were in great shape. They all rolled well except the 18th. It was a real bumpy. It helped me gain a stroke on my playing partner whose putt came up 3-feet short. It was his first time playing this course. We will be back just on a cooler day.
Fairways are very rough and bumpy. Greens are kind of inconsistent.
Enjoying the day!
My second time playing here. This place is a great value and we will try and come back. The course has a chipping area and putting area and driving range so come a bit early and warm up. I liked the changes in elevation and I liked that the par 3’s are different lengths. Too often they are all the same distance! Greens are looking better. Can’t beat the price.
Course condition sub par. Very dry and hard fairways. Greens good, tee boxes poor. No drinking water on course on 90 degree day.
Greens are horrible!
Love the layout, always have. But I feel bad for the members. The course conditions are so bad that you cannot actually play golf. Sand lies in the fairways, greens are ate up with weeds and funguses.
