Applewood Golf Course

Management is slowly improving the course, fairways and tee boxes are great. About 3-4 greens are under repair but playable and should improve over time. Will definitely be back in a couple weeks to play again.

Been coming here a few times a year for 6-7 years. Love the course layout, friendly staff and great prices for a round of golf, food and drinks. Highly recommend.

Course I've played hundreds of times so just an update. I think the course is great for what it is a country side golf course. Yeah it did have a few odd things like some of the tee .boxes had some.long grass, I assume they are letting them grow in. Some green repairs underway that was needed, just move your ball to a similar line if you land there. Fairways were great and overall the greens rolled really well. Good challenge for the average golfer. Recommend. Wasn't in a bunker all day but id rate them OK, generally hard pack sand.

Honestly I do not understand why I come back maybe because of the fairly cheap prices. Nonetheless, if the course isn’t free it should be the maintained. The greens was terrible looked like they tried to lay sod down it was overgrown. The sand traps look like it hasn’t been tended to all season. Most of my fairway shots felt like my irons was acting as a machete cutting down tall grass. It’s on par to be the next pointe south which is not a good thing. DO BETTER!!

This course needs a lot of work & is NOT worth $40+ to play! Just about every green had dead spots on them & a lot of them had sod laid on the green that was an inch tall. Not sure if the sod was put there to help heal the greens or not? The grass on several tee boxes were longer than the rough, while the grass around the tee boxes were nicely mowed (this was a Saturday morning, so it should have been mowed before the weekend). With the exception of hole #10, most of the fairways were in decent condition.

The new owners are trying very hard to make the course better than it was before. Their are succeeding. The fertilizing, the new cut patterns are good.

Great place to get and play a little without breaking the bank.

Apparently fungus or some other die-off is taking its toll on the greens, chipping green area and the putting green. Very bad. Rest of course was in pretty good shape.

The play was so slow the two guys I was paired with quit on number 11 tee box. On hole 6 there were 2 foursomes and a threesome. No excuse for this for people old enough to know the rules of the game.

Al of the greens were aerated. Was not notified until i paid. Was given a voucher for 5$ off next round. This information should be displayed in flashing letters on the booking site so that people can make an informed decision.

Fairways are in great shape, and all the greens besides 18 and a few spots on others are in great shape and rolling true. My only complaint would be the driving range, just doesn’t have much good grass left, but for the money I don’t know if there is a better course in this area to play.
