Great course
Course is great, people are great. Need more drinking water on course.
Good but could be better
Greens and bunkers were in very good shape. Tee boxes and fairways were not. Pace of plays was decent not great. Nice layout
Great Day For Golf
I hadn't played in about 8 months; it was great getting back out there. I enjoyed it, it got pretty windy on the last few holes.
Amazing layout
Going with some family it was quite enjoyable the layout of the holes was extremely fun for us to play. The only downside is finding the next tee box tended to be pretty difficult without a map or more specific instructions.
Work in Process
The course is still in a rebuilding phase due to last years extreme weather including hurricane Helene. I loved the general layout and the elevation changes throughout the course. Many of the cart paths are in extreme disrepair with some needing complete removal and replacement. Better directional signage would also be a benefit. Overall I did enjoy my round and look forward to playing the course again after the grass fills in and the repairs are made.
Chances
I have played Pointe South many times and have found it to be a very fun place to play. The course has is a bit on the short side but can be a challenge if you spray the ball. It’s hard to rate a course when fairways are dormant and the rough is almost non-existent but I’ll try.
The greens and tee boxes were over-seeded for winter play and were in really good shape.
Although the greens were very fast, especially when putting with the grain, but they would hold a ball if it was struck well. I really enjoyed the round and ended up shooting one of my best scores of the winter.
I will definitely go back often and I would recommend everyone to give Pointe South a try.
Hit it straight and your chances of a good score is almost as good as your chances tof having a great time.
