Ken
Challenging but fun. Greens were very fast. Tee boxes needed some tender loving care. Overall I really liked it, can’t wait to play it again. Beautiful pine trees, hilly terrain, made for a great experience.
Too Low
Everything is mowed really low. The course is set up almost too hard for the average 100 shooter. Have to be a good golfer to play well here. It's a good test with these conditions but let the grass grow some. Thanks.
Great course after the pipeline construction
4.5+ hour round on a Monday! The only improvement the course needed was some water on the greens. Too many shots hit the green and bounced over. Overall, very good conditions.
Good course
A few foursomes were in front of us, as a result, the pace was a bit slower than we would have liked.
Beautiful day caused slow play
Jammed, packed course. A lot of players taking advantage of a beautiful day to play. More than 4.5 hrs.
Cart path only due to fertilizing fairways. Fairways and firm greens very good, sand traps very packed (recent rain). Nevertheless, playing the course is worth the drive to Douglasville.
Quality for your money
Always love this place. The value is great, you hit every club in your bag, challenging but also scorable holes, and amazing pro shop merch.
Hole #5 now open
There are still muddy spots on the golf course due to the pipeline construction through the course, but they shouldn't come into play. Greens are excellent and will hold well-spun shots, traps are OK, and fairways are moving quickly toward being fully green. An enjoyable golf experience.
Love this course.
The course is replacing the sewage system. #5 was closed as a result. The greens are immaculate.
Construction still going on
Except for the pipeline construction going through the course and not being able to play the par 3 5th hole, conditions were good. Greens were medium fast and rolled true. Tee boxes and sand traps OK. Hot Deal prices were excellent.
Course WILL BE beautiful
Under repairs and maintenance but will end up being a gorgeous course. Amenities are great and everything is very new
Muddy fairways
Had one hole closed and had to finish on hole #1. Everywhere the fairways were very muddy and it was cart path only
Great course
Excellent, just what I expected. A little hilly course. The greens were in good condition. They have an extensive sewage work going on, which didn't look like ending too soon. The ground was still wet, so we had to walk a lot.
The staff was friendly and Club Car ran well.
City Construction on the Course
In spite of the closure of Hole #5 because of the City's pipeline renovation going through the course, the course was in excellent shape for "spring" golf. With the recent warmer weather green grass had exploded all over the course, especially on the greens. The new growth made the greens medium fast and very fair, unlike other courses with dormant greens.
West Pines Never Disappoints
I always enjoy playing this course. It never disappoints. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The course is in great condition. Be aware that #5 will be closed for a while because the state is replacing some fuel and sewer pipelines that happen to run through that area. But some great things are happening. The driving range is being redone and #5 will be redone as well.
Hole 5 under construction
Hole 5 is under construction so they are temporarily having you start on hole 2 and finish on hole 1 since route from 1-2 passes through the construction area for hole 5. Course is providing discount since it is only 17 holes. Other than this course and staff were great as usual.
