Great layout. Course (specifically greens) had a few bruises on them they you couldn’t putt over. Other than that the course was in great shape. The carts suck though because they are geofenced like crazy. I can see this place being excellent for the tournaments they have out there .

I live in a small town about 25 miles west of Atlanta, and I am blessed to have a course like West Pines just a few miles down the road.

The course has been upgraded across the board over the last few years. Recently, they re-bunkered the course, taking sloppy sand bunkers and turning them into almost pot bunkers with high sides. They look great but don't hit it in there. The greens roll fast and true. Downhill putts must be respected. It hasn't rained in nearly 3 weeks so the course was very dry. I've seen it more lush than this in the past. I've played a total of four rounds here.

They have several tee sets for all skill levels. From the tips, I imagine this to be a real test at over 6800 yards. Pace of play is good. I played two rounds over the last 3 weeks and both were right on 4 hours.

I hate to write a great review due to everyone crowding the place but this is one of my favorite courses. Grear carts with GPS and great greens. The starter is always a great conversation, well worth the hour drive to get there.

This course was amazing. The greens are in fantastic shape. Fairways are a lot better than courses of the same price around Atlanta. I was very pleasantly surprised and will definitely be coming back often

Read several good reviews for this course so I took my dad out and played it today. The layout/design of the course is an absolute joke. #1: Numerous blind tee shots, with several par-4's where you have to lay-up with an iron or hybrid off the tee or else your ball will run-out into an unseen water crossing. #2: Mounded greens where 2-3 sides of the green have steep slopes away from the green so if you miss the green, you have a good chance at getting double-bogey. #3: Very few, if any, flat places on the golf course. The ball is generally going to be above your feet or below your feet, or you are going to have a down-hill lie on your second shot. Aside from the joke of a layout, the fairways were very hard-packed and so you felt like the ball was sitting on hard-pan most of the time instead of sitting on grass. The greens were in great condition, but they had been covered with sand recently and were running very fast. If you are above the hole, watch-out, the ball will get away from you very easily. The driving range was VERY dry and the ropes had not been moved recently, so again hitting off of hard-pan and not grass most of the time. I'll never go back.

Love the greens , fairways looked good , will definitely return to this course to golf again

This is a great course, the front 9 was much more forgiving than the back 9. Fairways were nice and the greens were true, I will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone.

It’s a great course to play wide open but challenging greens are in good shape and the beverage girl was very timely when needed

Great time on course yesterday. Greens were in great shape, firm and very fast. Once everything grows in and they get continuous mows on the course, it’ll be fantastic.

Negatives- I think I may have been the only one to rake a bunker since Friday, it was like hitting off of a beach. I had to lift my ball and place after raking to smooth it out. Also, the carts are top of the line, how ever the GPS system in the carts need some type of updating. It was shutting us off almost on the cart path saying it was a restricted area. We had these carts at a course I worked at and had to readjust the boundary lines in the system for the same issue.

Other than that, great course and will definitely go back and recommend.

Four of us had a 3:15 tee time. Once we teed off, one person came behind us. We let him play thru. By the second hole we waited over an hour as five singles came up behind us. Very unprofessional sending off six singles behind a group of 4. Though we paid for 18 holes, we only played 9 because it was 6 by then.

You need to be able to read these greens to make putts at a high percentage to score Low.

Tough course for a first timer with several holes with penalty areas are not visible from the tee box. Fairways and greens were in good shape. Tee boxes were a little rough in spots. Adding hole signs to the tee boxes would be useful, especially in areas where multiple holes converge.
