My day at west pines
Got there to find 2 holes closed for improvement s. Adding bunkers... OK. My partner said this was disclosed on the app. Greens were very inconsistent. Some quick. Had 2 or 3 15 footers where it looked like a drag chute was deployed. Gonna assume wet conditions in Veorgia for the last week may have played into it also.
One of my favorite layouts in the area though. If you know the course, several holes you can go after.
Course conditions
No prior notice before booking , the 3rd & 4th holes would be under construction. No starter& Tee times wee not honored. I was on time to tee-off when a foursome teed off before me with a later tee time. Fortunately after a few holes they let me play through. This course is usually well managed & I was surprised when there was no starter for such a large crowd.
Great value
Hard to beat for the cost. Greens were a little slower than normal, but understandable with the weather.
They do a great job keeping the playing conditions as good as possible through the winter.

Beginner, intermediate, or pro-this course is great for everyone

Best course around West Georgia without playing an arm and a leg. Beautiful course! We have a blast every time we go
One major core issue
If you have not played this course religiously you will get lost on where to go. The markers to tell you where the next hole is pretty bad especially from hole 4 to 5. I ended up at hole 9 somehow. If there were more clear signs it would have a higher rating. The other reason for an average score is you added touch screen tablets to show you how far you are on the hole and what hole you are at and warning signs, put directional signs or an option to have direction to the next hole please. Or put physical signs somewhere on the course to help guide you. That was my only frustration. But the staff was very kind and very professional. Especially one the rangers that was or is a teacher for 30 years.
