Golfer Reviews
Great shape
The course is in fantastic shape, especially the greens. They are fast and smooth. Best I''ve played in the metro area in many months. The sand traps actually have sand, which is truly unique. I was only in 1 trap, but it was so nice to have sand to hit out of rather than mud or hard dirt.
Night and day
I can remember when this course was in horrible shape. Instead of a golf course it should've been a cow pasture. And now it like night and day, its in great shape. The fairways are perfect on most holes and the greens are immaculate. Its one of my favorite tracts that I frequently play.
Once again no one can inform you that they are aerated & sanding greens. Not sure why this is becoming a thing that no one wants to tell you, but it is happening more and more often
Great course and great value
Best course in west Ga, greens are rolling great and super consistent! Shocked it’s in this good of shape with so much rain
Great shape
West Pines is in the best shape I’ve ever seen it in. With all the rain we’ve had it drains great. The staff are super friendly. I have absolutely nothing bad I could say. Just Great and always fun and exciting every time we play.
Well maintained, in great condition
For a public course, this place was in amazing shape. Fairways very nice, greens rolled well around 10.5-11 on stimp. Carts were cart path only many holes though fairways were dry, which was annoying. They also shut off in many areas around the course. It’s public so it was crowded. Overall I’d go back and play here, we had a great time.
Alot of laying up.
The course is not much on risk reward. The par 5s are created by water that is 200 to lay up or 300 carry. The par 4s are made longer by hitting straight into hill faces. The greens are nice and pretty quick. They have cart computers that slow down at bridges and make you go in reverse if you wonder off to far.
