Can't wait
My golfing buddies and I have played this course for many years. Even when it was a disaster before the renovations. Now they are working on improving the course and we can't wait till it's done. I applaud them for doing it 2 holes at a time and not just closing one whole side. This is by far our favorite tract to knock it around on.
Great Course
Enjoyed playing West Pines. Will certainly play again. Grounds were well kept. Two holes being repaired. Looks to be good when completed

course is being renovated, most holes done a few to go redoing all bunkers. the greens and fairways are in great shape
Take away two holes and the resticted areas
Two holes were closed for maintenance .
The fairways are worse than they were before they implemented the electric fence crap to keep you off most of the fairways. Then was stopped from playing the 1&2 hole twice to make up the 18 . Even it was a slow Monday. And I was by myself . Never again .

Awesome course with awesome people. Great staff eager to help. David, the starter, was super helpful and friendly. Course was in great condition. They were working on 2 holes and were asking golfers to skip them but I didn't even care since the other 16 were in great condition and the staff was so willing to help make the experience great.

This course is a hidden gem. They are working hard on the cores to make it better. I love the layout. It has some tough holes also it has an birdie holes

Although the weather wasnt great.
The course was in fine condition and is a fun course to play.
Easter round
Course is greening up beautifully. In my opinion, it is the best course in the area for the price you pay. Cannot be beat. Will be even better once the construction is finished and you can play all 18 holes again. But please keep the pricing and conditions as they are and you’ll undoubtedly have no problem filling tee times.
surprise
i booked on golf now and it there were no warnings that 17 and 18 were completely closed. when paying he said "like it says on line they are closed so we are giving you $5 off". i paid $42 to play 16 holes and a bunch of the areas around the bunkers were under repair so you had to find a suitable place to drop. normally love this course but this was deceptive and a very souring experience.
My day at west pines
Got there to find 2 holes closed for improvement s. Adding bunkers... OK. My partner said this was disclosed on the app. Greens were very inconsistent. Some quick. Had 2 or 3 15 footers where it looked like a drag chute was deployed. Gonna assume wet conditions in Veorgia for the last week may have played into it also.
One of my favorite layouts in the area though. If you know the course, several holes you can go after.
Course conditions
No prior notice before booking , the 3rd & 4th holes would be under construction. No starter& Tee times wee not honored. I was on time to tee-off when a foursome teed off before me with a later tee time. Fortunately after a few holes they let me play through. This course is usually well managed & I was surprised when there was no starter for such a large crowd.
