Great shape! Fantastic greens!
This course is in the best shape ever, I mean ever!!! Greens fantastic and fast! Tees, fairways, traps all good too! It will never be one of my favorite layouts but I will continue to play it provided the conditions remain good. The noise from I-20 is annoying on the last couple of holes. Worth every penny!

Fast greens nice layout
This course recently put in new Bermuda Greens they have really come into their own and are smooth and fast a pleasure to putt. The course layout is somewhat forgiving off the tee and moderately skilled golfers can have an enjoyable experience without losing 1/2 a dozen balls. Pace of play is usually very good and the staff is always very helpful. A very good value.
Better hit it straight
Lots of slope on fairways makes this a challenging layout. Very fast greens. Bring extra balls. Layout does not return to clubhouse so long day with no sandwich. One refreshment cart comes around. Played in about four hours. Not bad but we had a very slow group ahead of us and waited on every tee and second shot. No ranger monitored play.
Nice Course
Great course conditions , too many older people thinking they own the course slowed the pace to a crawl!
This was a great course
This was my first time playing this course and was impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the fairways and greens.. there were some blind fairways and the greens were fast but not rediculus. Once you realize that you needed a little more loft in your approach shots the holes opened up. I love, love this course and are looking forward to my next round.

Immaculate Greens
The greens were fast but true - really looking great! The course, as always was in great shape and the staff friendly as always. I, and the rest of my former UAB teammates will be back next year to play in the Club Championship. West Pines is an excellent value and well worth a day of golf!
Good course good value
Good course for good value, I recommend giving this one a chance. Good driving range and greens are firm and quick

Course us in excellent condition! Best I have ever seen it.
Excellent Shape
The greens were smooth but they were hard...couldn’t get approach shots to stop o the green. Once on the green, putting was fast. Short game struggled this round but the course was in great shape. Be aware that strategy shots will be required.

Great round of golf!
The three of us enjoyed our round. West Pines is in great condition! We had. 9:42 tee time, so the pace of play was pretty fast. We will definitely be returning!

The greens are in excellent shape. The course is challenging but not too tight. If you have never played here, you should give it a try.
