West Pines Golf Club

Course was in really good shape, considered we have had very little rain. Greens rolled true, fairways were in great shape. The staff at WP had really got it looking good! It is definitely a good public course and recommend you giving it a try, you will be very surprised.

For the money, it's one of my favorite courses! Wide fairways, always in really good condition overall, and not too pricey. Also, it is a respectably forgiving course (i.e. missing fairways on some holes won't punish you too much).

West Pines is a city owned course. Douglasville owns and operates it. I was pleasantly surprised by the conditions of the course and the friendliness of the people.

The course is open and forgiving in places. The greens were pretty good and the crew seemed to be around repairing divots and watering to keep them fresh.

I expected a 6 hour round of golf. Was prepared for the usual wait Atlanta weekend golf provides and was shocked by the pace of play. Our group consisted of a novice that shot in the 130's, a retiree that maxed 150 yrds and me. We let two groups play through generously but were never otherwise pushed and still finished in right at 4 hours.

I live an hours drive from the course and chose it to play with a friend living in the area. While I may never play the course again, it will not be because of the conditions.

By all means give this one a go for a moderate priced public course well worth it.

I was visiting Atlanta and hopped over here for a quick round. Can't overstate how pleased I was with the overall condition of the course and how much fun it was to play. Didn't have to wait a single second on any tee box or fairway, and putting on greens this nice for the price was a nice plus. I wouldn't classify this course as super challenging (I shot a few strokes better than I usually do), but very enjoyable and has several beautiful par 5s. Would play again!

This is the 2nd time playing here and enjoyed both rounds. The course is in excellent shape and provide a good challenge, especially for the price. The staff was engaging and informative. I will definitely play here more often.

Pace of play is awful! Marshals not moving people on and almost appear that they are just going through the motions riding around. Compared to other courses around that area it seems alittle over priced. The greens are decent, but other golfers aren't repairing ball marks on greens which makes putts very bumpy at times. A good course if you just want to hangout and practice. Other then that save your money, time and play nicer courses in the area.

Greens were soft but very playable... Fairways had a few rough spots

I was thoroughly impressed with my round at West Pines Golf Club in Douglasville. the club Pro Chris Cartwright is very knowledgeable and always available for a quick tip or an inexpensive lesson. The course layout was awesome! There were some pretty tough hole locations but it never deterred from the fun that was to be had. My only concern for the course is the bunkers. Bunkers should have sand, these bunkers have a 16th of an inch worth of sand and just dirt underneath. For those of us who vacation at the beach quite a bit, you'd expect there to be some sand to work with. I feel that if they fixed their bunkers. This course will be a mainstay in Douglasville and will continue to be somewhere desirable to play!

played here the other day for the first time in about 4 years. This course has come so far, and is in excellent condition! If your looking for a round of golf near Douglas county this is your course!

If they tended to a few washed out places near the cart paths this course could be considered flawless. Great greens, fairways, and tee boxes

Course has some tricky holes but greens are very good. Several areas need some attention (i.e. traps). The course will play long from the back tees. I would suggest white tees for the average golfer.

This course was nice. It was well laid out for weekend golfers. The mix of par 3 to par 5s were nice.

Weekday golf here is splendid. Pace of play is great. Not crazy about weekend golf because pace of play can be not so good. Overall a great place to play

The course was in better shape than the last time we played. Lush and green,challenging but fair.Greens were recently punch but fast none the less.Left a few out there,want to go back! Staff was kind and professional.

Excellent greens and great layout. Be careful on #8 Par 5. Water comes into play from tee shot if you hit straight or right. Must favor left side of the fairway, almost as if you are hitting toward adjacent fairway. Slope will take ball down and to the right. A few blind approach shots and be sure to club up on #2. Overall, a nice layout with some target golf combined with a few tee shots that you can grip and rip.

Hard to beat 18 holes for 35 bucks or less around Atlanta. Course was fun to play. You have to hit every shot in the bag. It is nice to see a course that everyone can play. It is not crazy long but is still a challenge. The staff was very accommodating. The overall course was in good shape. If you want a place just to go have fun for a couple hours without breaking the bank this is the place.

Got a decent rate from golf now. Didn't see any aeration warnings, so I was disappointed with the conditions of the greens. Got on the course early during the week, so no groups in front of me. Played in under 4 hours. Some challenging holes. Not a very long course, but what it lacks in distance, it makes up in terrain. Several uphill holes. Need good shot positioning or you'll be in for a long day. Course looks like it will be in good shape once the weather breaks. Overall, not a bad cour

Had not played this course in a couple of years, but really like the layout. Very hilly, first 4 holes quite challenging out of the gate from blue tees. The greens rolled possibly the best of any course I have played within the past year, smooth and good pace but not ultra fast. Had a lot of rain the day prior to my round so course was saturated and played long, normally shots roll out a good bit on these fairways. Very good value for the money, interesting mix of holes and terrain. Definitely will move it back into my rotation, as I enjoy playing a variety of different courses. If you haven't played this one, you should, but need couple of rounds to gain some local knowledge on certain holes to avoid the trouble.

The best part of the Cource was the greens. These are the best greens I have seen around town.

Hard to beat their $25 hot deal rate for 18 with a cart. Greens were in very good shape. Easy to get to off of I-20. Overall very good value and quality course.
